Learn why a step with the Deal Insight Agent tool shows no benchmark or an error, and what to do.

Overview

A step that uses the Deal Insight Agent tool either returns a report or one short message. Most messages come from enrollment, from the account having no data, or from a value outside the lists the tool accepts. See How to add deal benchmark insights to an agent team step in GTM One.

Fix a step that shows no report

  1. Read the step's output and find the message under If you see an error below.
  2. If the message says your organization is not enrolled, ask your ZoomInfo admin to enroll it in the data sharing program. The agent team cannot fix this. See How to manage data sharing settings as an admin.
  3. If the message says no benchmark data is available, run the step for a different account. The data network may hold nothing for that company.
  4. If the message names a deal size range or category, edit the step's instructions to use one of the values listed in the message, then save and run again.
  5. If the message says the step timed out or hit a server error, run the agent team again after a few minutes.
  6. If the same message repeats, contact ZoomInfo Support with the agent team name, the run's link from the Activity Queue, the account and the time of the run.

Enrollment is checked each time the tool runs, and the result can be remembered for up to five minutes. After your admin enrolls the organization, a run in the next few minutes can still show the old message. Wait and run again.

Narrow results

  • A request filtered by deal size range, industry or category can return few or no accounts. The tool makes one attempt with exactly the criteria it was given and does not retry with looser ones. Widen the filters in the instructions and run again.
  • A category filter needs a minimum spend share with it. If the instructions name a category without a spend share, the category filter can be ignored.

If you see an error

  • "Your organization is not currently enrolled in the data sharing program that powers this feature. Please contact your ZoomInfo admin to enroll." The organization is not in the data sharing program. Ask your ZoomInfo admin to enroll.
  • "No benchmark data is available for this account." The data network holds no benchmark data for the account. Try another account.
  • "No opportunities found matching the specified criteria" or "No accounts found matching the specified criteria". Nothing matched the filters. Widen them.
  • "Deal insight generation failed (INVALID_INPUT): query is required and cannot be empty." The step sent no request text. Add instructions that say what to benchmark.
  • "Deal insight generation failed (INVALID_INPUT): deal_size_range must be one of:" followed by the allowed values. Use $0-$25K, $25K-$100K, $100K-$500K or $500K+.
  • "Deal insight generation failed (INVALID_INPUT): category must be one of:" followed by the allowed values. Use one of the nine categories listed in the article on adding the tool.
  • "Deal insight generation failed (AUTHENTICATION_FAILED)". Your sign-in could not be used for the request. Sign out, sign in again and run the agent team again.
  • "Deal insight generation failed (API_TIMEOUT)". The analysis took longer than five minutes or exceeded its time limit. Run again, with narrower filters if you can.
  • "Deal insight generation failed (AGENT_EXECUTION_ERROR)". The analysis hit a server error. Run again in a few minutes.
  • "Deal insight generation failed (UNKNOWN_ERROR)" or "Deal insight generation failed: an unexpected error occurred." The request failed for another reason. Run again, and contact ZoomInfo Support if it repeats.
  • "Failed to retrieve account signals. Please try again.", "Failed to load pipeline data. Please try again." or "Failed to search accounts. Please try again." The benchmark data could not be read. Run again in a few minutes.

When a step fails, the agent team is told the action did not complete and not to invent a result. If the team continues with later steps, the failed step is reported as unsuccessful.
