Learn how to add a step that pulls ZoomInfo data or runs a ZoomInfo agent.

Overview

A ZoomInfo step lets an agent team work with ZoomInfo data in the middle of a run. The Add action panel lists three ZoomInfo steps under Retrieve:

  • ZoomInfo Agent: Runs the Meeting Prep, Deal Insights, or Next Best Actions agent to analyze data and surface insights.
  • ZoomInfo Record: Pulls a single record for a company or a contact.
  • ZoomInfo List: Pulls an existing list or creates a new one based on filters.

The ZoomInfo steps are available only when they are turned on for your organization, so they may not appear for every account. If you don't see the ZoomInfo actions under Retrieve, contact your ZoomInfo account team.

Add a ZoomInfo Step

  1. In the left navigation panel, click Agent Teams, open the agent team you want to change, and click the Steps tab.
  2. Click Add action below the steps.
  3. In the Add action panel, click the Retrieve tab (or type "ZoomInfo" in the Search actions box), then click ZoomInfo Agent, ZoomInfo Record, or ZoomInfo List.
  4. In the panel on the right, complete the fields for that step, as described in the sections below.
  5. Click Save changes.

Retrieve a Record or a List

  1. In Input source, select the earlier step whose output this step should use as context.
  2. Under Find record (or Find record list), click Describe your record to describe what you want in your own words, or click Search with filters to set filter values.
  3. Under Define filter parameters, type a description (e.g., "SaaS companies with 500+ employees in North East") or fill in the filters.

The agent defines the search parameters during the run. What you enter here refines them.

Run a ZoomInfo Agent

  1. In Agent, select Meeting Prep, Deal Insights, or Next Best Actions. Meeting Prep is selected by default.
  2. In Input source, select the earlier step whose output this agent should use.
  3. Review the text in Instructions. It starts with default instructions for the agent you chose, so edit it to name the data to use and any areas to focus on.

After You Add the Step

The step card in the builder summarizes what the step does (e.g., Retrieve a ZoomInfo list or Run ZoomInfo Meeting Prep agent). A step that shows Setup ZoomInfo action still needs an option chosen.

If you can view the agent team but can't change it, all the fields in the panel are turned off. Contact your ZoomInfo admin for edit access.
