Overview

An agent team template gives you a ready-made set of steps. When you pick a template, the agent team opens in the builder with the template's steps and triggers already in place. You can fill in any values the template asks for, review the steps, save the agent team and then run it with your audience as its data source.

Start an agent team from a template

  1. Open the audience and open the agent team templates gallery.
  2. Select the template you want to use. The builder shows a loading view while the template's steps are copied in.
  3. If the template asks for values, a dialog lists each one. Enter the values and click the dialog's submit button to apply them.
  4. Review the steps in the builder. The inputs copied from the template appear under Define agent team inputs once they finish loading.
  5. Save the agent team. If some steps are incomplete, the Review before saving dialog opens: click Fix Errors to go to the problems, or click Save without fixing to save it as it is.

Some settings, such as knowledge context and the credit budget, can only be set up once the agent team is saved.

Run the agent team on your audience

  1. From the agent team, start a manual run. The run dialog opens at the Data source (optional) step.
  2. Select Audience as the data source.
  3. In the audience dropdown, select your audience, and select a sheet if one is requested.
  4. Optionally, choose a view under Select filter view to run only on the rows that view shows.
  5. Under Map source inputs, select the columns the agent team can use and describe how each one should be used.
  6. If the dialog asks How would you like to run across this Audience?, select Run each row individually or Run all rows at once.
  7. If the dialog asks Which rows do you want to use?, select All rows, or select Specific rows and enter a single range (e.g., 1-10).
  8. Click Next until you reach the Review & Run step.
  9. Review your selections and click Confirm and Run.

Things to know

  • Run each row individually runs the workflow once for every row in the audience. Run all rows at once runs the workflow once with the full audience as its input.
  • Rows are numbered starting at 1, and only one range can be entered at a time. If the range is too large, the dialog shows the most rows you can run at a time.
  • If the selected audience was modified or removed, the dialog asks you to select a new audience.
  • If your organization doesn't have enough AI action credits, the run is saved as Rejected without starting. You can reinitiate it once credits are available. See Troubleshooting Agent Team Runs Blocked by Credits in GTM One.
