How to open AI Builder from the Build with AI button in Agent Teams

Learn how to open AI Builder from Agent Teams pages with one click.

Overview

The Build with AI button is a round button with a sparkles icon in the bottom-right corner of Agent Teams. It opens AI Builder, the chat that builds and changes agent teams from a description, without going back to the Agent Teams list first.

The Build with AI button is available when your organization has it turned on, so it is not yet available to every account. You can still open AI Builder by clicking Create agent team and then Create with AI.

Open AI Builder

  1. In the left navigation panel, click Agent Teams.
  2. Click Build with AI in the bottom-right corner of the page.
  3. In the chat panel that opens on the right, describe what you want to build or change, or click a suggested prompt.
  4. To close the chat, click the close button at the top of the chat panel. The Build with AI button returns, and your conversation is kept.

Where the Button Appears

  • The button is hidden while the chat panel is open.
  • On the page that shows a run's output, use Help me optimize to get help with that run. Build with AI opens AI Builder for the agent team, not for the run.
  • On the legacy step details page of an agent team, the button opens the Agent Teams support chat. When your organization has the combined builder turned on, the button opens AI Builder there as well, and Help me optimize opens AI Builder too. If you see an error

  • "Unable to open AI Builder" followed by "Please try again in a moment." The chat could not start when you clicked the button. Wait a moment, then click Build with AI again.
