Learn how to create an agent team in GTM One from a template, with AI, or from scratch.

Overview

An agent team is a set of agents that work through a series of steps for you. Agent Teams opens as its own workspace inside GTM One and uses the account you are already signed in to, so you don't need to sign in again or connect anything first.

You can create an agent team in four ways:

  • Create with AI: Describe what you want in chat and let the AI builder set up the steps for you.
  • Create using a template: Start from a ready-made agent team and customize it.
  • Create from scratch: Build the steps yourself, starting from a new agent team that already has a trigger step (if this is your first agent team, the builder may open with an example workflow instead).
  • Duplicate an existing agent team: Copy an agent team you already have and change the copy.

Every agent team is made of a trigger, which sets when it runs, and one or more actions, which are the steps it carries out (e.g., an AI agent, a message sent by email or Slack, or a post to the activity feed).

Before You Begin

  • Agent Teams is available only when your account includes it. If you don't see Agent Teams in the left navigation panel, contact your ZoomInfo admin. If you go to the Agent Teams address without access, GTM One opens Home or your default landing page instead.
  • Creating an agent team requires permission to create agent teams. Without it, the Create agent team button is unavailable. Contact your ZoomInfo admin to request access.
  • Running an agent team requires a separate permission from creating one.

Create an Agent Team with AI

  1. In the left navigation panel, click Agent Teams.
  2. In the top-right corner of the Agent Teams page, click Create agent team.
  3. In the dialog that opens, click Create with AI.
  4. In the chat panel, describe what the agent team should do. The AI builder builds the steps with you in chat.
  5. Review the steps, and then click Save agent team.

If the chat panel does not open, wait a moment and try again.

Create an Agent Team from a Template

  1. In the left navigation panel, click Agent Teams.
  2. In the top-right corner of the Agent Teams page, click Create agent team.
  3. Click Create using a template. You can also click the Templates tab on the Agent Teams page.
  4. To narrow the list, click a card in the Template categories row, or type in the Search templates box. The All card shows every template. Each card shows how many templates it holds for your current search and filters.
  5. Click the template you want to use.
  6. Review the template details, and then click Use this template.
  7. If the template has variables for your company details, click Fill in template variables and enter the details for your company.
  8. Change the steps to fit your workflow.
  9. Click Save agent team.

A category card is unavailable, with a note that no templates in that category match your search and filters, when it has nothing to show. Click the selected card again to go back to All. Any other filters you choose appear as chips beside the search box, and you can remove them one at a time or clear them all. An agent team created from a template starts with the template's name as its title. You can change the name before you save.

Create an Agent Team from Scratch

  1. In the left navigation panel, click Agent Teams.
  2. In the top-right corner of the Agent Teams page, click Create agent team.
  3. Click Create from scratch. The builder opens a new agent team with a default name and the Run as Form trigger already in place.
  4. Keep the Run as Form trigger if you want to run the agent team yourself, or click the Run as Form trigger step and choose a different trigger.
  5. Click Add action, and then choose the step to add (e.g., AI Agent). Repeat for each step in your process.
  6. Click the title at the top of the builder and enter a name for the agent team.
  7. Click Save agent team.

If you have never created an agent team and have not completed the guided tour, the builder opens with an example workflow and its own title instead of a new agent team. You can use it to see how the steps fit together.

When you change the type of a step, including the trigger, GTM One asks you to confirm before it changes the step.

If a step is incomplete when you save, GTM One lists what is missing. You can go to each issue to fix it, or save anyway.

Create an Agent Team by Duplicating an Existing One

Duplicating an agent team requires permission to create and edit agent teams.

  1. In the left navigation panel, click Agent Teams.
  2. Open the agent team you want to copy.
  3. In the top-right corner of the agent team's page, click the actions menu (the three-dot icon).
  4. Select the option to duplicate the agent team. GTM One confirms the copy and opens it in the builder.
  5. Change the steps and the name to fit your workflow, and then click Save agent team.

Create an Agent Team from an Audience

You can also start an agent team from an Audience, using the build card, a template, or the grid's Clone & Edit option. These use the same permission as creating an agent team from the Agent Teams page.

  1. Open the Audience, and then start the agent team from the build card, a template, or Clone & Edit in the grid.

Return to the Agent Teams Home Screen

  1. In the left navigation panel, click Agent Teams again. This takes you back to the Agent Teams home screen, however far into the workspace you are.

Save your agent team first. If you cancel out of the builder with unsaved changes, GTM One asks you to confirm before it discards them, so you can return to editing or leave without saving.

Tips for Working in Agent Teams

  • Links stay accurate: A link you copy from inside Agent Teams opens the same screen again.
  • Links from other areas open in place: When you follow an Agent Teams link from elsewhere in GTM One (e.g., from the feed or a profile), the workspace opens directly on that item rather than on its home screen.
  • Appearance matches GTM One: When you switch GTM One between light and dark appearance, Agent Teams switches right away. It has no appearance setting of its own.
