Learn what Agent Teams does in GTM One and how its output reaches your feed.

Overview

Agent Teams lets your company build teams of AI agents that carry out go-to-market work on a schedule, when something happens, or when you run them yourself, such as generating a report or flagging an account that needs attention.

Agent Teams, previously available in GoToMarket Studio, is also available inside GTM One.

What is new in GTM One is where the results appear. An agent team can be set up to deliver its output to the GTM One Feed, where it shows on the Agents tab. This means you can see agent output alongside your other signals without switching to a separate application.

Who Can Use Agent Teams

Access to Agent Teams is made up of separate permissions, and your ZoomInfo admin decides which ones you have:

  • View: Open Agent Teams and see the agent teams, their steps, and their runs.
  • Create and edit: Create agent teams, and edit, rename, duplicate, or delete them.
  • Run: Run agent teams.

What you can change also depends on the agent team. Some changes, such as editing an agent team's tags, are only available on agent teams you own, and restricted agent teams limit what you can change. An agent team shared with your organization by the organization that owns it can still be run, but only the owning organization can change it.

When you do not have the permission an action needs, its control is either unavailable or not shown. Pointing to an unavailable control shows "You do not have permission to take this action".

When your organization has it turned on, the first time you run or activate an agent team GTM One asks you to acknowledge an "Enabling AI Agents" notice. The run or activation starts after you acknowledge it.

How to Open Agent Teams

Agent Teams appears in the left navigation panel when you have permission to view agent teams. If you do not have it, the entry is not shown, and opening the Agent Teams address takes you to Home instead.

  1. In the left navigation panel, click Agent Teams.
  2. Browse the agent teams in your workspace. To narrow the list, use its filters (see Limitations below).
  3. Click an agent team to open it. It opens on the Runs tab, where you can review its runs.

To browse ready-made agent teams, click the Templates tab. If you do not see Agent Teams in the left navigation panel, or opening it takes you to Home, contact your ZoomInfo admin to ask for permission to view agent teams.

To build a new agent team, see How to Create an Agent Team in GTM One.

How Agent Team Output Appears in the Feed

An agent team delivers output to the Feed when it includes an Activity feed step. By default, everyone in your org receives the feed update, but specific recipients can be set in the step. This is how customer-specific content that does not fit the standard signal set reaches the people who need it.

The Agents tab in the Feed does not depend on Agent Teams appearing in your left navigation panel. It also carries out-of-the-box agent team updates, so it stays available even when Agent Teams is not in your navigation.

To see agent team output in the Feed:

  1. In the left navigation panel, click Feed.
  2. At the top of the page, click the Agents tab.
  3. In the panel on the side of the page, click Latest, Bookmarked, or Archived to choose which updates to see.
  4. To see output from specific agent teams only, select their checkboxes in the Agents list below the folders.
  5. To see which agent team produced an update, click Show agent details on the update's card. The Agent details panel shows the agent name, when it was created, and who created it (your own agent teams show You).

The Agents list names every agent team that has updates in any of the three folders, whichever folder you have open. The count beside each agent team follows the folder you selected, so a team with nothing in that folder shows 0 instead of disappearing. When none of your folders holds an update from any agent team, the list shows "No agent teams yet".

When the tab has nothing to show, it displays "No recent agent activity" in Latest, "No bookmarked updates" in Bookmarked, or "No archived updates" in Archived.

If you have permission to use Agent Teams, the empty tab also shows "Schedule and trigger agents to run for any GTM use case." with two buttons. Browse templates opens the Agent Teams template gallery, and Create agent opens the template gallery and starts a new agent team. In the same way, the Browse agent teams link under the Agents list, which opens the template gallery, is shown only to people with that permission. Without it, you see only the headline and the list.

Example of an Agent Team

Here is one way a company might use an agent team. Every day, the agent team:

  • Reads customer conversations from the previous 24 hours across mid-market and enterprise accounts.
  • Identifies the strongest product feedback themes in those conversations.
  • Generates a report of the findings.
  • Posts the report to a Slack channel.
  • Writes the report to the Feed, where it appears on the Agents tab.

Common Use Cases

Delivering agent team output to the Feed works well for recurring or event-driven updates, such as:

  • Sales to customer success handoff: When an opportunity moves to closed in your CRM, generate a report for the customer success team that covers what was discussed, what was contracted, and what was promised.
  • Win-back eligibility: When a former customer exits a win-back hold period, push that to the Feed as a signal, along with context from the prior deal.
  • Competitive monitoring: Track competitor activity that matters to your accounts (e.g., a daily competitive analysis).
  • Escalation reports: Summarize customer escalations so the right people see them.
  • Score change notifications: Let users know when an account's score changes.

Pre-Built Agents Compared to Agent Teams

GTM One also includes pre-built agents on profiles and in the Feed, such as meeting prep, deal insights, and multi-threading plan generation. These are packaged templates that ZoomInfo provides, and you run them from Run agent rather than from the Agent Teams page. Your company can also require permission to run agents; without it, Run agent is unavailable and shows "You don't have permission to run agents. Contact your administrator."

Agent teams are built by your company for its own workflows, from a trigger and a series of steps such as an AI Agent step, a Message step, or an Activity feed step.

Limitations

Agent teams cannot be organized into folders. All agent teams in your workspace appear together in one list. To narrow the list, use the filters Created by, Created date, Last run by, Last run date, Tags, Trigger, and Source. With Source, you can show All agent teams, only those from My Organization, or only those from ZoomInfo.
