Learn how to start, check and stop an agent team run by asking AI Builder.
Overview
You can ask AI Builder to run a saved agent team right away, without a trigger. A saved team with at least one step runs on demand. A trigger being off does not stop it.
A run started this way is a real run. Its Slack, email, document and CRM steps do what they say, and the run spends credits like any other run.
Before you start
- Running needs permission to run agent teams. If you do not have it, AI Builder tells you the run was refused and does not retry. Ask your ZoomInfo admin.
- The first time your organization runs a team, GTM One may ask you to acknowledge an "Enabling AI Agents" notice.
- If the team has run inputs, say their values in your request (e.g., "Run it for ZoomInfo, zoominfo.com"). Any input you leave out uses its default value.
Run a team
- Open AI Builder. If you have not built or opened the team in this chat, name it, or open the chat on the team's page.
- Say "run it", "kick it off" or similar, and give any input values.
- AI Builder replies with the run id. Keep it: you can ask follow-up questions about that run in the same chat.
- Ask "did it succeed?" later. AI Builder reports the status (queued, running, completed, failed or stopped) and the output. A run that is queued or running is reported as still in progress.
Check recent runs or stop a run
- To see recent runs, ask "show me my recent runs". AI Builder summarizes the latest few by status and start time.
- To stop a run, say "stop it" and name the run if it is not the one you just started. Only a run that is currently running can be stopped. A run that is queued or finished is left as it is, and AI Builder says so.
Runs started over an Audience or a CSV, one run per row, are started from the Agent Teams page. See How to Run an Agent Team Manually in GTM One.
If you see an error
- "Agent Team monthly credit budget reached. The team's owner can raise the limit in Settings; runs resume when it is raised or the month rolls over." The run was recorded as rejected and nothing ran. Ask the team's owner to raise the limit, or wait for the next month, then ask for the run again.
- "Approval request was rejected." A person rejected a human review step, so the run ended. Start a new run if you still need it.
AI Builder also tells you when a team has no steps yet ("add at least one step before running it") and offers to add one. For other problems see Troubleshooting AI Builder for agent teams.
