Understand why AI Builder did not make a change, start a run or turn a trigger on, and what to do.

Overview

AI Builder tells you in its reply when something was not done. Find your symptom below, then follow the steps for it. Each fix is something you or your ZoomInfo admin can do.

AI Builder does not open

  1. Click Build with AI or Create with AI again after a moment.
  2. If the button is missing, your organization does not have AI Builder turned on. Contact your ZoomInfo admin.

GTM One shows "Unable to open AI Builder" with "Please try again in a moment." when the chat could not start.

A run did not start

  1. Read the reason AI Builder gives. It says the run did not run and never calls it started or queued.
  2. If the reason is the monthly credit budget, ask the team's owner to raise the team's limit, or wait for the next month. If it names your organization's credits or your own AI credit limit, ask your ZoomInfo admin to raise it. Then ask AI Builder to run the team again.
  3. If the team has no steps yet, ask AI Builder to add one first.
  4. If you are told you lack the permission to run agent teams, ask your ZoomInfo admin for it. AI Builder does not retry.
  5. If you are told your sign-in is missing or expired, refresh GTM One and sign in again.
  6. If you are told the run service did not respond, ask once more. If it fails again, contact support with the team id.

The message for the monthly budget is "Agent Team monthly credit budget reached. The team's owner can raise the limit in Settings; runs resume when it is raised or the month rolls over."

AI Builder will not turn on a trigger

  1. Check that the team has a step and a trigger, and that AI Builder asked "Ready to activate?" and you answered yes in your next message.
  2. If it says you lack the permission, ask your ZoomInfo admin for the permission to run and activate agent teams. You can still build and edit.
  3. If the trigger is not ready (no timezone, no condition), answer the question AI Builder asks.
  4. If AI Builder says a trigger was made in the visual builder in a form it cannot edit, fix or remove it in the visual builder.
  5. If it says another person changed the team while it was working, ask again so it reloads the latest version.
  6. If activation stopped partway, ask to activate again. Triggers already switched on stay on, and the rest are switched on.

See How to turn on an agent team trigger with AI Builder.

A trigger did not save or does not fire

  1. If AI Builder says the trigger did not land, the steps were saved but the trigger was not. Ask it to set the trigger again.
  2. If a trigger is set but the team has not run, check that it was turned on. A set trigger is off until you say yes.
  3. If an event trigger never fires, check the condition values. A value your CRM does not use saves and never matches. Ask AI Builder to look up the values your account uses.
  4. If a trigger fires less often than you expect, a rate limit applies. Ask AI Builder what the limit is and whether you or the platform set it.
  5. If you edited a trigger that was already on, the change is not live until you confirm it. Ask AI Builder to activate.

A change was refused or not made

  1. If AI Builder says a team would exceed 200 steps, remove or combine steps.
  2. If it says a step refers to a step it cannot find, ask it to describe the team, then restate the change.
  3. If it cannot find the team you named to call from a step, check the name. It offers the closest teams by name and does not guess.
  4. If it declines to change a step's model, that is expected. Every step runs on the platform's default model.
  5. If a request about an Audience is declined (people in an Audience, companies not in an Audience, a company in two Audiences at once), see How to set a trigger on an agent team with AI Builder for what can be set instead.
  6. If it says the team it was working on no longer exists, ask whether to rebuild it or work on another team.
  7. If it changed a different team than the one on your screen, it says so. Ask it to make the same change on the team you meant.

A step does not run because an app is not connected

  1. Open the link AI Builder gave you for the app, or connect the app from your integrations.
  2. Run the team again. Saving and turning on were never blocked.

The Slack or email step has the wrong recipient

  1. Tell AI Builder the channel or address. It does not guess one and asks when you leave it out.
  2. For a Slack message from your own account, ask for it to be sent as you.
