Browse Audiences

List and search your GTM Studio audiences by name, type, or creator. Read-only and free.

·Rowan BaileyRowan BaileySenior Director, Product

What it does

Returns a paginated list of the GTM Studio audiences you can access, with the metadata needed to choose one: name, record type (CONTACT or COMPANY), and record count. Filter the list by creator name, by type, or by a case-insensitive search on the audience name.

Every result carries the audience id. That id is what Get Audience needs to pull column structure and preview rows, so Browse Audiences is almost always the first step when you want to work with an audience you already have. Results are paginated at up to 25 per page.

Credits

Free. Browse Audiences is read-only and consumes no credits.

When the AI uses it

The AI invokes Browse Audiences when you ask what audiences exist, or when you refer to one by name. This is the discovery step. The model lists or searches, finds the right audience id, then chains into Get Audience to inspect structure and data. Because it costs nothing, the model can browse freely before any credit-consuming work.

What's returned

  • Audience id, used with Get Audience
  • Audience name
  • Record type: CONTACT or COMPANY
  • Record count
  • Creator and last-updated metadata
  • Pagination details, up to 25 audiences per page.

Example prompts

"What audiences do I have in GTM Studio?"

"Find my audience from Dreamforce."

"List company audiences created by Dana."

📝

Reading vs. building

Browse Audiences and Get Audience read existing audiences. To create and enrich audiences programmatically, see the GTM Studio Audiences API guide.
