Overview
When your organization has self-serve archiving turned on, an Audience you archive is not gone at once. It stays in Recently archived on the Audiences page for 60 days. In that time you can unarchive it, or delete it for good. After 60 days it is deleted for good and cannot be recovered.
Before you begin
- This is available when your organization has self-serve archiving turned on. If you do not see a Recently archived button in the header of the Audiences page, it is not turned on for your organization. Ask your ZoomInfo admin whether it can be turned on.
- You can unarchive or delete an Audience only if you created it or archived it. For an Audience that was shared with a workspace, an owner of it can also do both. Anyone else sees the Audience's page without an Unarchive button and is told to ask its owner.
- Unarchiving counts against your organization's Audience limit. If your organization is at the limit, delete an Audience you no longer need first.
- Deleting for good cannot be undone. The Audience and its data are deleted right away, instead of at the end of the 60 days.
Unarchive an Audience from the list
- In the left navigation panel, click Audiences.
- In the header, click Recently archived. The Recently archived Audiences dialog opens. It lists the Audiences you created or archived in the last 60 days, ten to a page, newest first. The columns are Name, Source, Records, Archived (the date and who archived it) and Deleted for good in (a countdown that turns red when seven days or fewer are left).
- Find the Audience, then click Unarchive in its row.
- A message reads "Audience unarchived".
The Audience comes back at the top of your Audiences list. It does not return to the folder it was in. Its automated refresh schedule comes back with it. Copies that were built for sellers by routing, and that the archive cleaned up, are not recreated.
Unarchive an Audience from its link
- Open the Audience's link. If it was archived, the page reads "This Audience was archived" and says when it was archived, by whom, and when it will be deleted for good.
- Click Unarchive. If you are not allowed to restore it, the page offers Go to Audiences instead and asks you to contact its owner.
Delete an archived Audience for good
- In the Recently archived Audiences dialog, click Delete in the Audience's row.
- Read the confirmation. It is the same confirmation as deleting a live Audience, and it lists any apps built on the Audience.
- Confirm the deletion. A message reads "Audience deleted for good".
Check the result
Open the Audiences page. An unarchived Audience is at the top of the list. A deleted one is gone from Recently archived. The list in the dialog refreshes after each change.
If you see an error
- "Couldn't unarchive: your company has reached its Audience limit. Delete an Audience you no longer need, then try again." Your organization is at its Audience limit. Delete an Audience you no longer need, then unarchive again.
- "Couldn't unarchive this Audience. Try again." The unarchive did not work. Try again in a moment. If you are not the creator or the archiver, ask the Audience's owner to unarchive it.
- "Couldn't delete this Audience. Try again." The delete did not work. Try again in a moment.
- "This Audience was already unarchived or deleted, so the list has been refreshed." Someone else already restored or deleted it. Check the Audiences list.
- "Couldn't load archived Audiences." Close the dialog and open Recently archived again.
- "Nothing archived in the last 60 days." There is nothing to restore. An Audience archived more than 60 days ago cannot be restored.
