Learn how to see where an audience can be sent and start an export.

Overview

An export sends the rows of an audience to a destination your organization has already connected, such as a CRM or a sales engagement tool. You start it from the Activate pane, and GTM One lists the export in the Exports tab so you can follow it.

Before you begin

  • The destination must already be connected for your organization. Destinations that are not connected stay visible but dimmed.
  • Your role must allow the export. A row you cannot use reads "Your role doesn't have permission to use this export. Contact your administrator."
  • The audience must have finished processing.

Send an audience

  1. Open the audience.
  2. Click Activate in the header.
  3. Click Export view to....
  4. Choose a destination. The list shows the exports that can run on this audience, such as CSV, XLS and each connected CRM, sales engagement, data share or ad channel.
  5. Follow the steps for that destination, including field mapping where it asks for it.
  6. Check the footer, which shows whether the export covers the entire view with its record count or only the selected records, and submit the export.
  7. Click View in exports in the confirmation to follow it.

Follow an export

  1. In the left navigation panel, click Audiences.
  2. Click the Exports tab.
  3. Find the export in the list. Use Download for a file, or View Error for rows that failed.

The banner above an audience's records table tallies its recent exports. Click View details in Exports to open the tab filtered to that audience.

Export on a schedule

To send the audience again after every refresh, add an export to the audience's automation. See How to manage audience automations in GTM One.

If you see an error

  • "Contact administrator to connect to" followed by the destination name, "to initiate export." The destination is not connected for your organization. Ask an administrator to connect it.
  • "This export is already in progress. Please try again later." An ad channel export for this audience is still running. Wait for it to finish.
  • "Please wait for the audience to finish processing before sharing or activating." The audience is still loading. Wait until the records count settles.
