Overview
Rows are the records in an audience. You can add new records, change the values in a row, hide rows you do not want to see, and delete rows you no longer need. Changing an audience needs edit access to it: you are its owner, or it was shared with you as an Editor. A Viewer sees "Not available in view-only mode" on these controls, and a cell edit is refused with "You do not have permission to edit this audience. It may be shared as read-only."
The add, delete, hide and reveal controls are available when your organization has them turned on. If you do not see them, ask your administrator whether they are on for your organization.
Before you begin
- You need edit access to the audience. A viewer sees the rows but cannot change them.
- The audience must hold ZoomInfo companies or contacts for the add row to appear.
- Large changes run in the background, so the records count can take a moment to update.
Add records
- Open the audience.
- Click Add Companies or Add Contacts in the row under the grid. The label follows the kind of records the audience holds.
- Search for the records you want and add them.
- Check that the new rows appear in the table and the records count goes up.
A ZoomInfo record that is already in the audience cannot be added a second time. An addition that names the same record twice is refused.
Change values in a row
- Click a cell in a column you fill in yourself.
- Type the new value and move out of the cell to save it.
Each value must fit its column. A text value cannot go into a number column. Columns that come from ZoomInfo data or AI are filled by GTM One, and a value you type there is replaced the next time the column runs. AI output columns from an agent team, reference columns and list columns cannot be edited at all; clicking one shows "This column can't be edited".
Hide and unhide rows
- Select one or more rows in the table.
- Click Hide in the quick actions. The rows leave the table but stay in the audience.
- To bring them back, open the Reveal section in the left rail, open Hidden, select the rows and click Unhide.
Hiding needs edit access. Hidden rows are left out when GTM One lists which audiences a company or contact belongs to.
Delete rows
- Select the rows in the table.
- Click Delete in the quick actions.
- Check that the rows leave the table and the records count goes down.
The owner and Editors can delete rows. Viewers cannot. On a copy that was routed to you as a seller, you can hide rows but not add or delete them.
Limits
An audience has a maximum number of rows. An addition that would go past it is refused with a message that states the maximum, in the form "Row limit exceeded: max allowed is" and the number "rows per workbook". Remove rows you no longer need, or split the records across more than one audience.
If you see an error
- "ZI profile ID" followed by the id and "already exists in this audience". The record you tried to add is already a row. Find it with the search box above the table instead of adding it again.
- "Duplicate ZI profile ID" followed by the id and "found in request payload". The same record was included twice in one addition. Add it once.
- "Row not found for the given Id" followed by the id. The row was deleted or is no longer in the audience. Refresh the audience and select the row again.
