Overview
An audience is a list of companies or contacts. Every audience holds one kind of record, and that kind is chosen when the audience is created. GTM One builds the audience with its columns and shows its progress while the records load.
Before you begin
- Decide whether the audience holds companies or contacts. The record type is required, and it cannot be changed afterward.
- Give the audience a name. A name is required.
- To keep the audience in a folder, create the folder first (see How to organize, copy and delete audiences and folders in GTM One).
Create an audience
- In the left navigation panel, click Audiences.
- Click New Audience in the top-right corner of the page.
- Choose where the records come from, e.g., ZoomInfo data, a CRM, a CSV file or a data warehouse. For a CSV file, choose Company list or Contact list before you upload.
- Follow the steps for the source you chose. The audience opens when it is created.
- Wait for the records count in the header to settle. Share and Activate stay unavailable while the audience is still processing.
Starting from a ZoomInfo search keeps the search with the audience, so you can review the import filters later from the audience's context panel.
For the full walk-through of each source, see How to Build an Audience in GTM One.
Add columns
- Open the audience and click Add column above the records table.
- Choose Add custom column for a column you fill in yourself, or choose Search all enrichments to open the Enrich panel.
- For a column filled by AI, choose one of the AI tools: Data Analysis, Web Research, Conversation Intelligence or AI Emailer.
- Configure the column. An AI column takes a prompt and can use existing columns as context.
- Click Preview to check the first rows, then click Add. The column fills in for the rows of the audience.
A column can also be renamed or removed later, and you need edit access to the audience to do either. See How to add columns to an audience and run enrichment in GTM One for the full Enrich panel.
Limits
- An organization can hold a limited number of audiences and an audience a limited number of columns. When you reach one, GTM One shows the "Audience limit reached" or "Column limit reached" dialog.
- An audience also has a maximum number of rows. A load that would go past it is refused, and the message states the maximum.
If you see an error
- "Audience not found for the given Id" followed by the audience's id. The audience was deleted, or you do not have access to it. Ask its owner to share it with you again.
