Learn how to stop an enrichment run that is still going in an Audience, or take a queued run off the queue.
Overview
When you enrich an Audience, each run appears in the column processing queue at the bottom of the Audience. A run that is waiting its turn shows Remove. A run that is going shows Stop. A run that cannot be stopped shows "Can't stop" and keeps going until it finishes.
Before you begin
- You need an Audience with an enrichment run that is queued or running. A run that has already ended has no Stop or Remove button.
- Stopping a run that has started does not undo it. Rows that were already filled keep their values, and you are charged credits only for those rows.
- Removing a run that has not started fills nothing and uses no credits.
Stop a run that is going
- Open the Audience and find the column processing queue ("Column processing queue"). Click Expand queue if it is collapsed.
- Find the run and click Stop.
- In the Stop this run? dialog, read "Rows already filled keep their values, and you're only charged credits for those." Click Stop run. To leave the run going, click Keep running.
- The button changes to "Stopping" and a message reads "Run stopped". The run can keep showing as running for a few more refreshes while it winds down.
Take a queued run off the queue
- In the column processing queue, find the run that shows "Queued".
- Click Remove.
- In the Remove this run from the queue? dialog, read "It hasn't started yet, so nothing is filled and no credits are used." Click Remove. To keep it, click Keep in queue.
- A message reads "Run removed from the queue".
If the queue starts the run just as you click Remove, GTM One stops it instead. You do not need to do anything.
Check the result
The run leaves the queue or shows as ended. Open the Audience and check which cells were filled. To see what ran, click View run log.
If you see an error
- "This run already finished". The run ended before your click, so there was nothing to stop. Check the Audience for the result.
- "Couldn't stop the run. Try again." The stop was refused and the run keeps going. Try again in a moment. If the run shows "Can't stop", let it finish. Some kinds of run cannot be stopped yet.
- A run reads 99 percent but its rows are already filled. The progress lags behind the data. Stopping it at that point is refused as already finished, because the rows are written.
