Learn how Settings lets you customize navigation and manage profile layouts.

Overview

Settings is where you shape GTM One around the way you work. Every user can use it to arrange their own left navigation panel. Administrators also use it to manage the profile layouts their organization sees.

Settings covers two main kinds of changes:

  • Personal navigation changes, which apply only to you. Two users in the same organization can see different navigation.
  • Profile layout management, where administrators set the organization default layout and assign public layouts to teams or individual users.

Settings does not manage permissions. All role-based access control (RBAC) changes are still made in the ZoomInfo Admin Portal. The Admin Portal is unchanged, is not part of GTM One, and opens from the Products menu inside the profile menu.

How to Open Settings

  1. In the lower-left corner of the left navigation panel, click your name or profile initial.
  2. Click Settings.

Settings opens on the App layout page. When your organization has improved navigation management turned on, there is no App layout page, so Settings opens on Integrations instead and you arrange your navigation from the left navigation panel itself. While you are in Settings, the left navigation panel lists the Settings pages in place of your usual navigation. To return to your workspace, click Back at the top of the left navigation panel.

What You Find in Settings

The pages you see depend on your plan and your role. The main pages are:

  • App: Your personal navigation layout. Every user has this page unless improved navigation management is turned on for your organization.
  • Profiles: The Company, Contact, and Opportunity pages, where you manage profile layouts. These appear when profile layouts are available on your plan.
  • Assignments: The User Layouts page, where administrators assign layouts. Only administrators see this page.

Settings also includes other pages, such as Integrations, Exports, and Currency.

If you expect to see Profiles or Assignments and they are missing, contact your ZoomInfo admin or your ZoomInfo account team.

Customize Your Navigation

The App layout page controls your left navigation panel. Anything you change here affects only your own view. If your organization has improved navigation management turned on, this page is not available and you make these changes in the left navigation panel instead.

On the App layout page, you can:

  • Choose your landing page, the first page you see when you open GTM One, from the Page dropdown in the Landing page section.
  • Drag items in the Sidebar apps list to reorder them, or drop an item onto a group to move it inside that group.
  • Click Add to sidebar to add a custom app, an audience, a group, or a section. A group nests apps under one label, and a section labels a band of the sidebar.
  • Hide an item from the sidebar or remove it from the layout.
  • Check the Live preview to see how your sidebar will look.
  • Click Reset to go back to the default layout.

Your changes are not applied until you click Save changes in the top-right corner of the page. An Unsaved label appears next to the button while you have changes that are not saved.

How to Pin an Audience to Your Navigation

  1. In the lower-left corner of the left navigation panel, click your name or profile initial.
  2. Click Settings. The App layout page opens.
  3. In the Sidebar apps section, click Add to sidebar.
  4. Click Audience.
  5. In the Add Audience dialog, select each audience you want to pin.
  6. To place the audiences inside a group, select the group from the Add to group dropdown.
  7. Click the add button at the bottom of the dialog (e.g., Add 2 Audiences).
  8. Click Save changes in the top-right corner of the page.

How to Pin a Company Profile to Your Navigation

You pin an individual profile from the profile itself rather than from Settings.

  1. Open the company profile you want to pin.
  2. In the profile header, click More actions (the three-dot icon).
  3. Click Pin to navigation.

To remove the profile later, open the same menu and click Unpin from navigation. You can also pin a published app from the Apps gallery. For details, see How to Create and Manage an App (MicroApp) in GTM One.

Manage Profile Layouts

Profile layouts control how company, contact, and opportunity profiles look. The ZoomInfo default layout is always available, and you can build your own layouts on top of it.

To find the layouts, open Settings and, under Profiles, click Company, Contact, or Opportunity. Each page lists the available layouts with their status and sharing. From there, you can:

  • Click New layout to build your own layout. Layouts you create are personal, and changes you make to them affect only your own view.
  • Click Edit or View in a layout's row to open it.
  • Click More actions in a layout's row to activate it, move it to draft, set it as your default, rename it, duplicate it, or delete it.

Administrators have extra options:

  • Click More actions, then Make public to share a layout with your organization. A public layout shows Organization in the Sharing column.
  • Assign public, active layouts to teams or individual users on the User Layouts page.
  • Set the organization default layout, which applies to everyone who has no layout assigned to them.

How to Assign a Layout to Teams or Users (Admins)

A layout must be public and active before you can assign it.

  1. In the lower-left corner of the left navigation panel, click your name or profile initial.
  2. Click Settings.
  3. In the Settings navigation, under Assignments, click User Layouts.
  4. In the left panel, select the Set team/individual layouts checkbox.
  5. Select the checkbox next to each team or person you want to assign the layout to. Selecting a manager also selects their whole team.
  6. In the right panel, on the card for the profile type you want (Company profile, Contact profile, or Opportunity profile), click the Layout dropdown.
  7. Select the layout.
  8. Click Save changes at the bottom of the right panel.
  9. If a confirmation dialog appears, click Apply. The dialog appears when your change affects 50 or more people.

How to Set the Organization Default Layout (Admins)

  1. On the User Layouts page, click Organization default at the top of the left panel, and make sure no teams or people are selected.
  2. On the card for the profile type you want, click the Layout dropdown.
  3. Select the layout.
  4. Click Save changes.
  5. If a confirmation dialog appears, click Apply.

Profile Layout Limitations

  • The User Layouts page shows only the change you are making. It does not show which layout a user already has, and each Layout dropdown starts at No change.
  • The overview layout cannot be customized.
  • Conditional layouts, such as showing different fields based on a CRM account record type, are not supported.
