Overview

Your workspace in GTM One is the left navigation panel you use to move around the product. You can shape it around the way you work:

  • Reorder the items in the panel.
  • Create your own named sections to group related items.
  • Pin audiences, apps, and individual company profiles so they are one click away.
  • Expand or collapse the panel to make more room on the page.

Navigation changes are personal. They apply only to your own view, so two users in the same organization can see different navigation.

Admins whose organization has it turned on can also build Workspaces, sidebar layouts arranged once for a team. See How to create and manage Workspaces as an admin in GTM One.

Most of these changes are made on the App layout page in Settings. For a full tour of Settings, see Overview of Settings in GTM One.

Where Did GTM Workspace Views Go?

If you used views in GoToMarket Workspace, that functionality is now part of Audiences, the single list-building product in GTM One. To build and work with lists, see How to Build an Audience in GTM One and How to Share an Audience in GTM One.

Open the App Layout Page

  1. In the lower-left corner of the left navigation panel, click your name or profile initial.
  2. Click Settings.

Settings opens on the App layout page. The Sidebar apps section lists everything in your navigation, and the Live preview shows how your panel will look.

Your changes are not applied until you click Save changes in the top-right corner of the page. An Unsaved label appears next to the button while you have changes that are not saved.

Reorder Navigation Items

  1. In the lower-left corner of the left navigation panel, click your name or profile initial.
  2. Click Settings.
  3. In the Sidebar apps section, drag an item by its handle to a new position, or use the arrow buttons on the item to move it up, down, to the top, or to the bottom.
  4. Click Save changes in the top-right corner of the page.

To move an item inside a group or section, drag it onto the group or section. To take an item out of your navigation without deleting it, click the eye icon (Hide from sidebar) on the item. Items you added yourself, such as pinned audiences and apps, can also be removed with Remove from layout. Built-in items cannot be removed, but they can be hidden.

Create a Named Section

A section adds a labeled band to your navigation, so you can group related items under a heading you choose.

  1. In the lower-left corner of the left navigation panel, click your name or profile initial.
  2. Click Settings.
  3. In the Sidebar apps section, click Add to sidebar.
  4. Click Section. The new section appears at the bottom of the Sidebar apps list.
  5. Click the name field in the new section and type a name for it.
  6. Drag the items you want into the section.
  7. Click Save changes in the top-right corner of the page.

The Add to sidebar menu also offers Group, which nests several items under one expandable row instead of a labeled band.

Pin an Audience to Your Navigation

  1. In the lower-left corner of the left navigation panel, click your name or profile initial.
  2. Click Settings.
  3. In the Sidebar apps section, click Add to sidebar.
  4. Click Audience.
  5. In the Add Audience dialog, select each audience you want to pin.
  6. To place the audiences inside a group, select the group from the Add to group dropdown.
  7. Click the add button at the bottom of the dialog (e.g., Add 2 Audiences).
  8. Click Save changes in the top-right corner of the page.

Audiences that are already in your navigation show an Added label in the dialog.

Pin an App to Your Navigation

  1. In the lower-left corner of the left navigation panel, click your name or profile initial.
  2. Click Settings.
  3. In the Sidebar apps section, click Add to sidebar.
  4. Click Custom app.
  5. In the Add a custom app dialog, click Add on each app you want to pin.
  6. Click Done.
  7. Click Save changes in the top-right corner of the page.

The dialog lists apps you have built and apps that teammates have shared with you. To learn more about finding apps, see How to Create and Manage an App (MicroApp) in GTM One.

Pin a Company Profile to Your Navigation

You pin an individual company from its profile rather than from Settings. The pin is added to your navigation right away.

  1. Open the company profile you want to pin.
  2. In the profile header, click More actions (the three-dot icon).
  3. Click Pin to navigation.

To remove the company later, open the same menu and click Unpin from navigation. Contact and opportunity profiles offer the same option. For help opening a profile, see Overview of Company Profiles in GTM One.

Expand or Collapse the Left Navigation

When the panel is collapsed, it shows icons only. When it is expanded, it shows the full name of each item.

  1. To expand the panel, click the logo at the top of the collapsed panel (its tooltip reads Open Sidebar).
  2. To collapse the panel, click Close Sidebar (the sidebar icon to the right of the logo) at the top of the expanded panel.

You can also expand a collapsed panel by clicking any empty space in it. When the panel is expanded, clicking the logo takes you to Home instead of collapsing it.

GTM One remembers whether you left the panel expanded or collapsed, so it opens the same way in your next session on the same browser. The panel may collapse on its own while a chat panel is open, and it returns to your setting when you close the chat.
