Overview
A company profile brings everything about one company into a single view. It combines ZoomInfo firmographics, data from your CRM, how the company has engaged with your team, and the signals around it. Agents and Ask AI sit on the profile, so you can prepare for a meeting or research an account without leaving the page.
Use a company profile when you want to:
- Prepare for a meeting or call with an account
- Understand who works at the company and how it is organized
- Review recent activity and conversations with the account
- Check signals (e.g., intent activity, website visits, scoops, and company news)
- Add the company to an audience or follow it
Some profile features, including the actions in the profile header, the matched CRM record selector, and Personalize, are available only on paid plans.
Open a Company Profile
- In Advanced Search results or in an audience, click the company's name to open the Profile details panel on the right side of the page.
- Click the Previous record or Next record arrow at the top of the panel to move through the list without closing the panel.
- Click Open profile in new tab at the top of the panel to see the profile as a full page, or click Close profile panel to return to the list.
Once you have opened profiles, the Advanced Search landing page also has a Recently viewed section. Clicking a company card there opens the full profile page directly.
Find a Company Profile with Quick Search
- In the left navigation, click Find (or press ⌘K).
- Type the company name.
- Select the company in the results to open its profile.
To close the search without opening a profile, press the Escape key.
The Profile Header
The header at the top of the profile summarizes the company:
- Identity: The company logo and name, with the website and social links beside the name.
- Key figures: Employees and Revenue. When your CRM is connected, the header also shows the Account owner and Account type from the selected CRM record.
- Actions: Run agent, Add to Audience, Follow, and Export, plus three small controls at the end of the row: Suggest update (the pencil icon), Share profile link (copies the link, and a "Link copied" message confirms it), and the More actions menu.
The More actions menu holds Add tag and an item that adds the profile to your navigation. The item reads Pin to navigation (or Unpin from navigation once it is pinned). When your organization has the Workspace sidebar turned on, it reads Add this profile to Workspace (or Remove from Workspace).
When you scroll down, the header shrinks to a single row so the tabs stay within reach.
Switch Between Matched CRM Accounts
One ZoomInfo company can match more than one account in your CRM. The header shows which CRM record the profile is using, and you can switch to another one.
- In the profile header, click the dropdown next to Matched CRM Record(s):.
- Select the CRM account you want to view.
The Account owner and Account type in the header update to match the account you select. The selector appears only when your CRM is connected and the company has matched records.
Profile Tabs
The tabs under the header come from your profile layout. The ZoomInfo default layout opens on the Overview tab and includes the following tabs:
- Overview: The agent teams card, account summary cards, Important to Know, signals, and contacts.
- CRM: A CRM summary, opportunities, and the CRM account details.
- Engagements: The account timeline, engaged contacts, the engagement snapshot, Voice of the Customer, and the activity feed.
- Signals: A signal summary, website visitor activity, intent activity, scoops, and company news.
- Employees: Contacts at the company, plus employee breakdowns by department, management level, and location.
- Org Chart: The company's organizational chart.
- Location and Hierarchy: Company locations and the corporate hierarchy.
- Technologies: The technologies and attributes associated with the company.
- Documents: AI-generated documents for the company.
On the free plan, the CRM and Engagements tabs are not shown.
Agents on the Profile
Every company profile has agents available directly on it. Examples include meeting prep, next best actions, prospecting into the account, deal insights, and account expansion or win-back advice.
- Click Run agent in the profile header.
- Select the agent you want to run.
Depending on how your workspace is set up, the agent either runs directly or opens chat with that agent's question already asked. The list includes the agents in your profile layout. If you can't run an agent, contact your ZoomInfo admin.
Ask AI
Ask AI stays at the top of every profile layout, so you can ask questions about the company at any time.
- Click Ask AI at the top of the profile.
- Type your question about the company in the chat panel.
Important to Know, the Account Timeline, and Engagements
- Important to Know: Key points about the company, shown on the Overview tab in the default layout.
- Account timeline: Recent activity on the account, shown on the Engagements tab.
- Engagements: A conversational intelligence overview of your conversations with the account. It covers what the account is exploring, pain points and use cases, competitive intelligence, and a topic breakdown.
Documents
The Documents tab lists the agent-generated documents for the company. Documents created for an account in other parts of GTM One are tagged to that account and appear here.
Add a Company to an Audience
- Click Add to Audience in the profile header.
- In the Add to Audience dialog, select one or more audiences, or click Create New Audience.
- If you selected existing audiences, click the add button at the bottom of the dialog (e.g., Add to 1 audience).
Personalize the Profile Layout
You can choose which layout you use and build your own layouts. Changes you make affect only your own view of profiles, not anyone else's.
- Click Personalize at the right of the tab bar.
- Select a layout under YOUR LAYOUTS, or click Open layout editor to create or change a layout.
The layout editor is drag and drop, with a live preview against a selected company so you can see changes against real data. You can change the middle content area and the tabs. Ask AI always stays at the top of the profile. Your admin can also set a default layout for your organization or assign one to your team.
Keep these limits in mind:
- The overview layout is not customizable.
- Conditional layouts are not supported (e.g., showing different fields based on the CRM account record type).
Tips
- Browser zoom: At high browser zoom levels, the action row in the profile header is cut off. If you can't see all of the header actions, zoom your browser out.
- Contact profiles: A contact profile uses the same panel and page, with Overview, CRM, Engagements, Company Signals, and Documents tabs. Its header offers Add to Audience, Export, and Email.
