Overview
The opportunity profile in GTM One includes a Buying Group tab. This tab shows the Engaged contacts section, which lists the contacts on the deal who have been engaged through emails, meetings, or calls from connected mailboxes and calendars.
Use the Buying Group tab to check who you have been talking to on a deal, narrow that list to a specific buying group, and move to Advanced Search to see the full buying group.
The tabs on a profile come from the profile layout in use. If you do not see the Buying Group tab, your layout may not include it. Contact your ZoomInfo admin for help with layouts.
Open the Buying Group Tab
- Open an opportunity profile (e.g., click an opportunity in the Opportunities section of a company profile).
- In the tab bar below the profile header, click Buying Group.
What the Engaged Contacts Section Shows
Each row in the Engaged contacts table shows one contact on the deal, with these columns:
- Name: The contact's name and job title. Click the name to open the contact's profile.
- Meetings: The number of meetings with the contact in the selected time range. Click the number to view those meetings.
- Emails: The number of emails with the contact in the selected time range. Click the number to view those emails.
- Last engagement: The type and timing of the most recent email or meeting. Click it to open that engagement.
- Action: Quick actions to email, call, or export the contact.
Click More on a row to see the contact's engagement summary and contact details, and click Less to close them. Expanding a contact whose details are hidden reveals those details, which may use a view credit.
You can sort the table by clicking the Meetings, Emails, or Last engagement column header.
Filter the Engaged Contacts List
- On the Buying Group tab, click the Engaged in dropdown in the top-right corner of the Engaged contacts section.
- Select a time range (e.g., Past week or Past 3 months). The default is Past month.
- Click the Show dropdown next to it.
- Select a buying group under Buying groups, or select All engaged contacts to remove the buying group filter.
If no buying group is defined for the account, the Show dropdown is unavailable and a message explains that no buying group is defined. The rest of the list still works.
If the list is empty, the section may offer a button to widen the time range or to show all engaged contacts.
See the Entire Buying Group
- On the Buying Group tab, click See the entire buying group at the bottom of the Engaged contacts section.
Advanced Search opens with a contact search filtered to the company, the selected time range, and the selected buying group, if you chose one.
Questions About Buying Groups
Buying groups are defined by your organization, not on the opportunity profile. For questions about how buying groups are defined or which contacts belong to them, contact your ZoomInfo admin or account team.
If you see an error
- "Engagement didn't load". The connection to the mailbox and calendar sync has expired, so counts and summaries cannot be read. Click Check connections in the section, reconnect your mailbox and calendar, then reload the profile. Nothing on the opportunity has changed.
- "Meetings, emails and last engagement couldn't load for this list. Other details are unaffected." Only the Meetings, Emails, and Last engagement columns failed to load. Reload the profile in a moment; names, titles, and summaries are still correct.
- "Showing the most recent 100 meetings and 100 emails for this window. Older activity may not be reflected." The list reached its limit for the selected time range. Choose a shorter range in the Engaged in dropdown to see the activity you need.
- "No emails, meetings or calls on this opportunity yet". Nobody has been in touch on this opportunity, so there is nothing to list yet.
- "Couldn't load more contacts." The next page of contacts failed to load. Click Retry beside the message to try again.
