Overview
A contact profile shows what ZoomInfo and your connected CRM know about one person. From the profile you can review the contact's details, run agents against the contact, add the contact to an audience, and find related documents.
Contact profiles share many features with company profiles, such as Ask AI and profile layouts. For those shared features, see Overview of Company Profiles in GTM One.
Open a Contact Profile From Advanced Search
- In the left navigation panel, click Advanced Search.
- Click the Contacts tab above the results.
- Set at least one filter in the Filters panel on the left to show results.
- In the results, click the contact's name to open the profile in a panel on the right side of the page.
- To view the profile as a full page, click Open profile in new tab at the top of the panel.
A contact who has left the company shows a Former badge next to their name. For more on searching, see How to Run an Advanced Search in GTM One.
The Contact Profile Header
The header at the top of the profile identifies the contact. It shows:
- The contact's name and job title
- Links to the contact's LinkedIn, Facebook, or X profiles, when available
- Company, Department, Management level, and Local time
- Status badges, when they apply to the contact
Click the company name to open the company profile. If your CRM is connected, the Matched CRM Record(s) selector in the header row lets you choose which matched CRM record the profile displays. The selector is hidden when the contact has no matched CRM records.
On paid plans, the header also includes these actions:
- Run agent: Runs one of the agents available on the profile against this contact.
- Add to Audience: Adds the contact to an existing audience or a new one.
- Email: Opens an email to the contact. It is turned off when the contact has no email address on file. For details, see How to Use the AI Emailer in GTM One.
Ask AI sits at the top of the profile. In the header, click the pencil icon (Suggest update) to suggest a change to the contact's data, or click the share icon (Share profile link) to copy a link to the profile. Click the More actions menu to choose Add tag or Pin to navigation. When your organization has the newer navigation turned on, the pin option reads Add this profile to Workspace instead, and Remove from Workspace once it is added.
Tabs in the Default Layout
The ZoomInfo default layout for contact profiles has these tabs:
- Overview: GTM Agents, Contact summary, Profile details, Similar contacts, and CRM details.
- CRM: Opportunities linked to the selected CRM record, and CRM details.
- Engagements: Engagement summary and Activity feed.
- Company Signals: Signal overview, Important to know, Signals, Websights, Intent activity, Scoops, and Company news for the contact's company.
- Documents: AI-generated documents for the contact's company.
Your organization can change which sections appear on which tab. On the free plan, the CRM and Engagements tabs are not shown, and the header actions are not available.
Agents on a Contact Profile
Agents are available directly on the contact profile. Use Run agent in the header, or the GTM Agents section on the Overview tab, to run an agent against the contact. Your admin decides which agents appear on a profile layout. If you do not see the agent you need, contact your ZoomInfo admin.
Add a Contact to an Audience
- In the header of the contact profile, click Add to Audience.
- In the dialog, select one or more audiences from the list, or click Create New Audience to start a new one.
- Click the Add to button at the bottom of the dialog (e.g., Add to 1 audience).
To learn more about audiences, see How to Build an Audience in GTM One.
Documents and Contacts
Documents you create in GTM One are tagged to the account, contact, or opportunity they relate to. On a contact profile, the Documents tab lists the documents for the contact's company. To see all documents in one place, see Overview of Documents in GTM One.
