Learn what an opportunity profile shows and how to use it to work a deal.
Overview
The opportunity profile is new in GTM One. Before GTM One, ZoomInfo offered company and contact profiles only. The opportunity profile brings everything about one deal onto a single screen, including:
- Opportunity information from your CRM
- The buying group for the deal
- Engagements at the account
- Signals for the account
Agents on the opportunity profile are scoped to that deal, so you can prepare for an upcoming meeting, follow up after a meeting, or review deal insights without leaving the page. Ask AI stays at the top of the profile so you can ask questions about the deal at any time.
Use the opportunity profile when you want to understand where a deal stands, who is involved, and what to do next.
Open an Opportunity Profile
- Open the company profile for the account the deal belongs to.
- Scroll to the Opportunities section.
- Click the opportunity you want to view.
The opportunity profile opens on the first tab of your layout. You can also open an opportunity profile from other places in GTM One that link to an opportunity (e.g., search results).
The Profile Header
The header at the top of the profile summarizes the deal:
- Company and deal name: The matched company's logo, the opportunity name, and the account name. Click the account name to open that company's profile.
- Breadcrumb trail: When the deal is linked to a ZoomInfo company, the trail above the name shows the company name, then Opportunities, then the deal name. Click the company name to open its profile, or click Opportunities to go to the Opportunities section of that profile. When there is no linked company, a back link returns you to the page you came from, or to Home.
- Deal figures: Opportunity owner, Type, Amount, Stage, Close date, and Forecast category. Only the fields that the CRM record contains are shown.
- CRM links: The CRM icon beside the account name opens the account record in your CRM in a new tab. The CRM icon next to the website and social icons opens the opportunity's own CRM record.
When you scroll down, the header shrinks so the tab bar stays within reach. It expands again when you scroll back to the top.
Profile Tabs
The tabs under the header come from your profile layout. The ZoomInfo default layout includes the following tabs:
- Overview: The GTM Agents card, Deal insights, Deal signals, and Deal qualification.
- Buying Group: The contacts engaged on the deal, drawn from connected mailboxes and calendars.
- Engagements: The opportunity timeline, with recent facts and changes across the opportunity.
- Company Signals: Signals for the account, including the signal overview, Important to know, website visitor activity, intent activity, scoops, and company news.
Click a signal on the Company Signals tab to open its details in a pane on the right. Switching tabs or moving to a different opportunity closes the pane.
The overview panel lists the full CRM detail for the deal, including Type, Stage, Amount, Close Date, Days to Close, Forecast Category, Probability, Last Touch, ARR, and Last Stage Change. On a wide window, the panel stays on the left while you scroll. On a narrower window, it appears at the bottom of the first tab instead.
The tab you are on is part of the page address, so you can share a link that opens directly to that tab.
Agents on the Opportunity Profile
Agents on the opportunity profile work on that specific deal. Examples include:
- Meeting prep: Prepare for an upcoming meeting on the opportunity.
- Meeting follow-ups: Follow up after a meeting on the opportunity.
- Deal insights: Review the factors affecting the deal.
To run an agent on the deal:
- Click Run agent in the profile header.
- Select the agent you want to run.
Depending on how your workspace is set up, the agent either runs directly or opens chat with that agent's question already asked. The list includes only the agents in your profile layout, and the button appears only on plans that include it. If you can't run an agent, contact your ZoomInfo admin.
Deal Insights and Deal Signals
In the default layout, two cards on the Overview tab describe the state of the deal:
- Deal insights: An engagement analysis of the deal, followed by Sentiment and Momentum panels that you can expand.
- Deal signals: The Tailwinds (factors working in the deal's favor) and Headwinds (risks working against it) for the opportunity.
These cards are for information only. They help you understand the forces around a deal, but they do not predict or judge whether the deal will close.
Ask AI
Ask AI stays at the top of the opportunity profile. The conversation is tied to this opportunity rather than to its account, so questions about one deal stay separate from other deals at the same company.
- Click Ask AI in the profile header.
- Type your question about the deal in the chat panel.
On a narrow window, the chat fills the content area. When you close it, the profile returns to where you left it.
Change the Layout
Your layout controls which tabs and cards appear on the profile, so two people viewing the same deal may see different sections.
- Click the layout picker at the right of the tab bar.
- Select the layout you want to use.
Your choice is saved for future visits, even when it replaces the default layout your admin assigned. If the tab you had open is not part of the new layout, the profile moves you to the new layout's first tab. The layout picker is available only on plans that include it.
Preview a Layout with an Opportunity
When you edit an opportunity layout, you can check it against a real deal before you save.
- In the layout editor, click Live preview.
- If no opportunity is chosen yet, click Select opportunity. When you opened the editor from an opportunity profile, that deal is usually chosen already.
- In the Preview opportunity dialog, type in Search opportunities. The search covers the same CRM opportunities as global search.
- Select the opportunity, then click Preview.
To switch deals later, click the opportunity name at the top of the preview (its tooltip reads Change opportunity). If nothing matches, the list reads "No eligible opportunities found". If the search fails, the dialog shows "Something went wrong searching opportunities. Try again."
Pin an Opportunity to Your Navigation
- Click the overflow menu in the profile header.
- Click Pin to navigation.
The opportunity now appears in your left navigation. To remove it, open the same menu and click Unpin from navigation.
