Overview
Chat answers two kinds of conversation questions:
- Find the meetings and emails. Search by participant, a manager's whole team, date, the linked account's type and segment, the linked deal's type and stage, a keyword (including the AI meeting summary and the insights taken from the call) or a meeting link. The answer includes the AI summary of a meeting when one exists.
- Find the accounts where something was said. Search the facts taken from your own calls, meetings and emails, such as action items, decisions, competitor mentions, risks and pain points, and get the accounts they came from.
Before you start
- Meetings and emails are recorded only when at least one participant is from outside your company. Internal-only meetings and emails are not captured, so a week of internal calls reads as no activity.
- This searches only your organization's own conversations with its prospects and customers, never public or third-party sources. For public information, see How to ask GTM One chat to search the web.
- The Data sources control in the chat box lists "Engagement data", and lists "Conversational intelligence" only when your organization has it.
- For a colleague's or a team's calls, chat finds the colleague in your organization's CRM users first. A name that matches nobody gives no result for that scope.
- Each question can use AI action credits when your organization is charged for them. See How to see how many credits a Chat reply used in GTM One.
Find meetings or emails
- Open chat from Home or Chats.
- Ask, for example "What happened in my calls this week?", "Calls from last week with current customers" or "Emails with Acme since March".
- Press Enter. Chat lists the matching meetings or emails, newest first where they are events, with links.
- Ask a follow-up to narrow it, for example "only the ones with open deals in negotiation".
To look up one meeting, paste its link from your meeting recording page. Chat reads the 32-character meeting ID in the link.
Find accounts by what was said
- Ask, for example "Which accounts mentioned competitors on recent calls?" or "Which accounts raised pricing concerns this quarter?".
- Press Enter. Chat returns the accounts and the facts behind them, with links to the sources.
- Ask for a closer look at one account, for example "What did Acme say about the renewal?".
Tips
- Chat shows the time of a meeting or email in your time zone and names the zone. If chat does not know your time zone, it shows the time in the zone the record carries and says which.
- A date-only end date runs to the end of that day.
- A keyword must be at least 3 characters.
- To watch or read one recording, open it from Meetings. See How to Prepare for Meetings in GTM One.
- An empty result means nothing matched. It does not mean an integration is missing. If you expected results, check that your calendar and recording tools are connected: see How to Connect Email and Calendar for Your Team as an Admin.
