Overview

Chat is the conversational assistant in GTM One. You ask a question or describe what you need in plain language, and chat responds using the data available to your organization. Chat is the main entry point on Home, and it is also available in other places in the product (e.g., Ask AI on a company profile).

Chat draws on the full GTM One data layer, including:

  • ZoomInfo company and contact data
  • Your connected CRM
  • Signals
  • Engagements
  • Conversational intelligence from your recorded meetings

What chat can draw on depends on what your organization has connected (e.g., CRM data is only available when a CRM is connected).

If you used chat in Copilot, the main difference is scope. Copilot chat answered questions about one account at a time. Chat in GTM One can answer questions that span many accounts.

What You Can Do With Chat

Ask Questions Across Many Accounts

Ask one-off revenue questions that would otherwise require checking accounts one by one (e.g., which of my accounts have recently mentioned a named competitor).

Prospect

Ask prospecting questions (e.g., find contacts in a specific role at a named company).

Generate Artifacts and Documents

Ask chat to create a document (e.g., an account plan or a structured evaluation). The document opens in a panel beside the conversation. From there, click Share & Track to share it with tracking, click Download as PDF to save a copy, click Print to print it, or click Copy to copy its text. Print is not offered for CSV files.

Build an Audience Conversationally

Describe the companies or contacts you want, then keep narrowing the list in follow-up messages before you create the audience. To learn more about audiences, see How to Build an Audience in GTM One.

How Chat Chooses Its Tools

You do not need to pick a data source or tool. Chat decides what to use based on your request.

Start a Chat

  1. In the left navigation panel, click Home.
  2. Click in the chat box below the greeting, which reads "Ask me anything... use @ to mention a company or contact."
  3. Type your question or request.
  4. Optionally, type @ and click a company or contact in the list to focus the question on that record.
  5. Click Send message, or press Enter.
  6. Type a follow-up in the "Ask anything..." box at the bottom of the conversation to refine or continue the request.

Above the chat box, the My day, Meetings, and Research categories offer ready-made requests (e.g., Give me my daily brief or Prep me for a meeting) if you prefer not to write a prompt from scratch.

To return to a past conversation, in the left navigation panel, click Chats. For details, see How to Use Chat in GTM One.

Rename a Conversation

Chat names a conversation after your first message. You can change the name once it appears.

  1. Open the conversation.
  2. In the header, click the conversation name.
  3. Type the new name.
  4. Press Enter, or click outside the name, to save it. Press Escape to keep the old name.

Give Feedback on Responses

Each chat response includes a thumbs up and a thumbs down control. Click Good response or Bad response to rate an answer. When you choose Bad response, you can describe what went wrong and click Share feedback. ZoomInfo uses this feedback to tune chat responses.

If chat is not returning the results you expect, contact your ZoomInfo admin or account team.
