Learn how to fix chat on a recording that cannot read the meeting, will not print the transcript, answers too little or stops without an answer.

Overview

Chat on a recording answers from that one meeting. This article covers what to do when chat says it cannot get the meeting, asks you for a meeting, gives you a link instead of a transcript, answers about the wrong thing, or stops without a reply. For account questions, see Troubleshooting account questions in meeting chat in GTM One. To learn how the feature works, see How to get a summary and action items from a meeting in chat in GTM One.

Chat says it could not get the meeting

Chat loads the meeting's summary, action items, participants and transcript when you ask your first question, and shows "Loading meeting data...". If the load fails, chat replies in plain words that there was a problem getting the meeting, without saying why.

  1. Send the question again. Chat tries to load the meeting again on your next question, so a short interruption clears itself.
  2. If it fails again, go back to Meetings, click the Recordings tab and open the recording again, then click Ask AI.
  3. If chat still cannot load it, contact ZoomInfo support with the meeting's name, the question you asked and the time you asked it.

Chat asks you for a valid meeting

Chat has no meeting when it was opened without one. It then says no meeting data is available and asks for a valid meeting.

  1. Close chat.
  2. Open the recording from Meetings, then the Recordings tab, and click Ask AI from the recording's own page. Chat on the Meetings list is for all your meetings, not one.
  3. Ask again.

This is expected. Chat never prints the transcript, the full conversation or every line spoken, in any format. It sends a link to the recording and tells you to click the Transcript tab.

  1. Click the link in the reply, then click Transcript beside the video.
  2. To find words in it, use the box that reads "Search Transcript".
  3. For a specific moment instead, ask for it by topic. See How to find a moment in a meeting with chat in GTM One.

The answer is about the meeting only, or says the meeting does not cover it

Chat answers from this meeting alone. It does not use your other meetings, history or broader sales advice, and says so when the meeting does not hold what you asked.

  1. Ask about something said in this meeting.
  2. For another call, open that recording and ask there.
  3. For several meetings at once, use Ask AI on the Meetings page. See How to ask chat about your meetings in GTM One.

The answer is short or generic

  1. Ask a narrower question, such as "What did the buyer say about timeline?" rather than "Tell me about this meeting."
  2. Follow-up questions in the same chat are answered more briefly than the first. Say what you want, for example "Give me the full detail on the action items."
  3. If the meeting has little content, the answer will have little to draw on.

Chat stopped without an answer

  1. Send the question again.
  2. Ask for one thing at a time. A long request that asks for several attachments can run out of steps before the written answer.
  3. If it keeps happening, contact ZoomInfo support with the meeting's name, the question and the time.

The email draft is not what you wanted

  1. Say what to change in the same chat, such as the tone, the length or the ask.
  2. Remember chat writes the draft only. It sends nothing, so copy the text into your own email. See How to draft a follow-up email from a meeting in chat in GTM One.

If you see an error

  • "Failed to load meeting details" The recording did not load, so chat has no meeting to work from. Select the retry option shown, or go back to Recordings and open the meeting again.
  • "Meeting not found" The meeting may have been deleted, or you may not have access to it. Ask the meeting's owner or your ZoomInfo admin for access.
