Learn how to ask chat for a summary, the action items, the participants or the objections from one recorded meeting.

Overview

When you open a recording, chat can answer from that one meeting: what was discussed, who took part, which action items came out of it, which pain points and objections came up, and what to do next. Chat answers only from the meeting you have open. It does not look across your other meetings, so an answer never mixes in another call.

Asking does not change the recording, and chat does not send anything to anyone. A question can use AI action credits when your organization is charged for them.

Before you start

  • You need to be able to open the recording. If Meetings shows no recording, or the page says "Meeting not found", ask the meeting's owner or your ZoomInfo admin for access.
  • Ask AI is not shown when a recording is opened inside a profile panel or a meeting viewer dialog. Open the recording from Meetings instead.
  • Chat can answer only once the meeting's details have loaded. If it cannot load them it says so in plain words. See Troubleshooting chat on a meeting in GTM One.

Ask for a summary

  1. In the left navigation panel, click Meetings.
  2. Click the Recordings tab, then click the recording you want to open.
  3. Click Ask AI in the action bar above the recording. Chat opens beside the meeting with the heading "Ask about this meeting". The button is turned off while chat is already open.
  4. Click a suggested question, such as "What were the key takeaways and next steps?", or type your own in the box that reads "Ask anything..." and send it.
  5. Watch the progress messages. The first question in a chat shows "Loading meeting data..." and then "Meeting data loaded successfully", and every answer shows "Analyzing meeting data to answer your question..." while it works.
  6. Read the answer. When a question calls for a longer document, such as a table or a brief, chat attaches it to the reply, so open any attachment shown.

Ask follow-up questions

  1. Type a follow-up in the same chat, such as "Who said the most?" or "Which of those action items have a deadline?".
  2. Read the shorter answer. Follow-up questions are answered directly and concisely from the meeting's details that chat already loaded, without loading the meeting again.

What to ask

  • Summary and next steps: "What were the key takeaways and next steps?"
  • Objections: "What objections or challenges were discussed?"
  • Pain points: "What pain points or business challenges came up?"
  • People: "Who were the participants, and who is the meeting owner?"
  • Action items: "What action items came out of this meeting?"
  • Anything the meeting does not hold, such as pricing from another call, is answered by saying the meeting does not cover it.

You can ask in another language. Chat usually replies in the language you write in.

Tips

If you see an error

  • "Failed to load meeting details" The recording did not load, so chat has no meeting to open on. Select the retry option shown, or go back to Recordings and open the meeting again.
  • "Meeting not found" The meeting may have been deleted, or you may not have access to it. Ask the meeting's owner or your ZoomInfo admin for access.
