Learn how to ask chat where something was said in a recording, jump to that moment, and get the full transcript.

Overview

Chat on a recording can find the moment a topic, quote or commitment came up. Where it names a time, the time is a link: click it and the recording moves to that second. Chat does not print the full transcript. When you ask for it, chat points you to the recording's Transcript tab instead.

Chat answers from the one meeting you have open.

Before you start

  • Open the recording from Meetings, then Recordings. Ask AI is not shown when a recording is opened inside a profile panel or a meeting viewer dialog.
  • Chat must have the meeting's details. See Troubleshooting chat on a meeting in GTM One if it says it cannot load them.

Find a moment and jump to it

  1. Open the recording and click Ask AI in the action bar above it. Chat opens with the heading "Ask about this meeting".
  2. Ask for the moment, for example "When did pricing come up?" or "What did the buyer say about the timeline?".
  3. Read the answer. It can quote a sentence or two and show the time it was said, in hours, minutes and seconds (for example 1:01:05).
  4. Click the time. The recording moves to that second.

Get the full transcript

  1. In chat, ask for the transcript, for example "Show me the full transcript".
  2. Chat replies with a link to the recording and tells you to click its Transcript tab. It does not paste the transcript into chat, in any format.
  3. Click the link, then click Transcript beside the video. Use the search box that reads "Search Transcript" to find words in it.

Tips

  • Ask for one topic at a time so the time you get back is specific.
  • A quote in an answer is brief. Use the Transcript tab when you need the exact wording around it.
