Learn how to ask chat on the Meetings page for talking points and company background before a call.
Overview
Chat on the Meetings page can combine your meeting details with background on the account: what the company does, its leadership, financial and industry details, competitors, buying signals and technology. It uses that to suggest talking points and an agenda.
This is different from the Prep button on an upcoming meeting row, which opens the main GTM One chat with a prep request already written. See How to Prepare for Meetings in GTM One for every way to prepare.
Before you start
- Connect your calendar so that the Upcoming tab shows your meetings and Ask AI. See Troubleshooting Meeting Prep Data in GTM One.
- The meeting needs an account (a company) for chat to look up its background. A meeting with no account gets talking points from the meeting details alone.
- Chat answers only from the data it finds, and tells you when it has too little information.
- Each question you send uses 15 AI action credits when your organization is charged for them.
Ask for a prep brief and talking points
- In the left navigation panel, click Meetings.
- Click the Upcoming tab.
- Click Ask AI in the page header. Chat opens with the heading "Ask about your meetings".
- Click the suggested question "Prep me for my upcoming meetings.", or type a question that names the meeting or the account (e.g., "Prepare me for my next meeting with Acme").
- Read the answer, then ask "Help me prepare an agenda and talking points." or your own follow-up to go deeper.
Ask about an account on its own
- Open chat with Ask AI as above.
- Type a question about the company (e.g., "Who are the main competitors of the account in my 2 p.m. meeting?") and send it.
Tips
- Name the meeting by its title, account or date so chat picks the right one.
- Chat does not send emails or change anything in your calendar or CRM. It only reads and answers.
- The brief shows meeting and account facts, never internal ids.
