Ask Help what a GTM One feature is, how it works, or what changed in GTM One and when. Help answers from the feature descriptions and release notes in the GTM One help content.

Overview

Besides step-by-step questions, Help handles three kinds of questions. "What is ..." and "how does ... work" are answered from the description of the feature. "What changed", "when did ..." and "is ... out yet" are answered from release notes. "What's new since a date" lists the changes from that day and then describes the ones that matter to your question. Help does not see your records or your organization's settings.

Before you start

  • The Help chat is turned on for your organization. If Help and support in your user menu opens a chat, it is. If it opens Support and resources instead, ask your ZoomInfo admin. See How to ask Help how to do something in GTM One.
  • The feature is available to you. Help describes a feature only when it is turned on for you and released in your version. Otherwise it says the feature is not available in your environment and describes nothing about it.
  • Only release notes that have been approved and published are included, so a very recent change may not be listed yet.

Steps

  1. Open your user menu and click Help and support.
  2. Type the question in plain words, for example "what is intent scoring?" or "what changed in exports?".
  3. For a change over a period, give the period in your own words, such as "what's new this month", "what changed since the 1st" or "what changed in the last two weeks". Help turns it into a start date. It lists at most 50 changes, and says how many more there are; ask again with a later date or a narrower topic to see the rest.
  4. Read the answer. A description follows the order of the help article, and a change is described from its release note, not from its title alone.
  5. Check the last line, "Sources:", for the titles of the articles and release notes used.
  6. If the answer is too broad, ask about one feature at a time.

Good to know

  • Help shows at most five documents for one search. When more match, narrow your question with the feature's name.
  • A change listed as "created", "updated", "published" or "archived" refers to the help content, so an updated article does not always mean the feature itself changed. Ask for the release note when you want to know what shipped.
  • If Help adds that the answer "may describe a slightly different build", the article or note may differ a little from what you see on screen.

If you see an error

  • "That feature isn't available in your environment." The feature is not turned on for you or not released in your version. Ask your ZoomInfo admin. The wording can vary a little.
  • "I don't have information on that. Try rephrasing the question, or contact support and they can help." Nothing matched. Rephrase with the feature's name. The wording can vary a little.
