Overview
What you can do with an audience, an app or an agent team depends on two things: your access to that item (owner, Editor or Viewer), and the permissions your role gives you in your organization. This article collects the rules in one place. When a control is unavailable, its tooltip usually says which of the two is missing.
Find out what you can do
- Open the audience, app or agent team.
- Hover over the control that is unavailable and read its tooltip.
- Match the tooltip to the rules below to see whether you need different access to the item, a different role, or the owner's help.
- Ask the item's owner to change your access, or your ZoomInfo admin to change your role.
Audiences
An audience has an owner, and the owner can share it with people or with the whole organization as a Viewer or an Editor.
- Owner: can do everything: change cells, add, hide and delete rows, add and run columns, share, route to sellers, add a sheet, and rename, move, archive or delete the audience.
- Editor: can change cells, add, hide and delete rows, add and run columns, share, and route to sellers. An Editor cannot add a sheet ("Not available for shared audiences") or rename, move, archive or delete the audience ("Only the audience owner can do this").
- Viewer: can view, filter, sort and copy the audience. Changing controls show "Not available in view-only mode".
- A seller the audience was routed to: works in their own copy. They can hide rows and add their own columns, but cannot add or delete rows, change columns that come from the parent audience ("Columns from a parent Audience cannot be edited") or route the copy again.
- Exporting an audience to a CSV file or a CRM depends on your role, not on your access to the audience. Without it, GTM One shows "Your role doesn't have permission to use this export. Contact your administrator."
Some cells cannot be changed by anyone, as described in How to add, hide and delete rows in an audience.
Apps
- Only the owner of an app can edit it. People the app is shared with can open and use it.
- You can share an app when you own its audience, or the audience is shared with your whole organization. See How to share an app or widget.
Agent teams
Agent teams belong to your organization rather than to one person, and your role decides what you can do with them:
- Your role decides whether you can see agent teams, whether you can create, edit, duplicate and delete them, and whether you can run and activate them. A control your role does not allow is unavailable; ask your ZoomInfo admin to change your role.
- An agent team shared with your organization by another organization can be run but not changed: "This agent team is shared with your organization. Only the organization that owns it can change it. You can still run it."
- When you run an agent team as other users with Run as Others, each run uses that user's data access and credits. See How to run an agent team.
- Only the approvers named on a Human Approval step can approve or reject it. See How to add an approval step to an agent team.
When a control shows "You do not have permission to take this action", ask your ZoomInfo admin which role you need.
