Learn what each CRM export message in GTM One means and how to get the export through.

Overview

When you export records to a CRM from the Export menu, GTM One checks your admin's export settings, your export limit, your credits and your organization's usage before it writes anything to the CRM. A failed check stops the whole export, and GTM One shows the reason in the form "{CRM name} export failed: {reason}".

A record can also fail on its own while the rest of the export goes through. GTM One then reports the count and the reason for the first failed record in the form "{number} record failed to export to {CRM name}: {reason}" (or "records" when more than one failed).

For how an export works, see How to Export Records to Your CRM in GTM One. For the settings your admin controls, see How to Set CRM Export Settings for Your Organization as an Admin.

How to find the cause and fix it

  1. Read the message after "export failed:" or after "failed to export to {CRM name}:" and find it under If you see an error below.
  2. If the message names a limit, select fewer records or add filters, then export again.
  3. If the message says your admin blocked something, send your admin the message and the record type you tried to export. Your admin changes this in the Admin Portal export settings.
  4. If the message is about credits, check your balance, then export fewer records or ask your admin about more credits.
  5. If the message is about an account, make sure the contact has a company, or that the account already exists in your CRM, then export again.
  6. If the message says your CRM connection has expired or is not connected, reconnect or connect the CRM in Integrations, then open the export again. If it says a connected service took too long or could not complete the request, wait a minute and try again.
  7. If the export still fails with the same message, contact ZoomInfo Support. Include the exact message, the CRM, the record type, how many records you selected and the time of the attempt.

Records that have not changed since their last export are skipped on purpose, so a smaller number of exported records than you selected is not always a failure. You are charged credits only for records that exported successfully and have a ZoomInfo record behind them. Credits are charged in steps of at most 500 records.

If you see an error

  • "Export not allowed". Your admin has not allowed this record type for export to this CRM, the number of records is above the limit your admin set, or every record you chose was blocked because your admin does not allow creating new records of this type. Ask your admin to review the CRM export settings, or select fewer records.
  • "This type of export has been blocked by your admin". This appears on a record in the export result. Your admin does not allow GTM One to create this type of record in the CRM, and the record does not already exist there. Records already in the CRM can still be updated. Ask your admin to allow creating the record type.
  • "Create account is blocked by your admin". You exported a contact whose account is not in the CRM yet, and GTM One could not create it: your admin does not allow creating accounts, the number of accounts to create is above the admin's limit, or ZoomInfo has no company for the contact. Ask your admin to allow creating accounts, or create the account in the CRM first.
  • "unable to create new account". GTM One could not find or create an account to attach the contact to, for example because the contact has no company. Add the account in the CRM or choose a contact that has a company, then export again.
  • "Updating duplicate records is blocked by your admin." The record already exists in the CRM and your admin turned off updating duplicates, so the record was skipped. Ask your admin to allow updating duplicate records if you want existing records refreshed.
  • "duplicated record". You exported a contact to the AI Emailer and Dialer, and its email address matches another contact in the same export. Only the first contact is sent. Remove the repeated contacts from your selection.
  • "Export limit exceeded - export to" the CRM name "is limited to" a number "records". You chose more records than the limit for this CRM. Select that many records or fewer and export again. Users without bulk export access are held to the default limit for the CRM, even when the admin set a higher one.
  • "You can only export up to" a number and a record type "at a time to" the CRM name. The CRM has a limit on how many records one export can send. Split the records into smaller exports.
  • "You can only export up to" a number "records due to admin settings. Please apply filters or select fewer than" a number "records to proceed with the export." Your admin set an export limit for this record type. Apply filters or select fewer records.
  • "Not enough credits - currently have" followed by your balance. The records you chose cost more credits than you have. Select fewer records, or ask your admin about more credits.
  • "Failed to mark exported - not enough credits". The credit charge for the exported records was refused. Check your credit balance and ask your admin about more credits.
  • "You can't export more than" a number "records at once". The credit charge covers at most 500 records in one step. Export in batches of 500 records or fewer.
  • "Usage limit exceeded - please contact support". The export would take you over your organization's usage limit. Contact ZoomInfo Support. The records may already be in your CRM when you see this message, so check the CRM before you export them again.
  • "User is not enabled, please contact support (904)". Your ZoomInfo user is switched off. Contact ZoomInfo Support or your admin.
  • "Your" CRM name "connection needs to be reconnected before field mappings can load." The CRM sign-in is no longer valid. Click Reconnect in the message and sign in again. See Troubleshooting Integration Connect and Disconnect Errors in GTM One.
  • "Your" CRM name "connection has expired. Reconnect" the CRM name "in Integrations and try again." The CRM stopped accepting your saved sign-in while GTM One was loading the export options or the field mappings. The message names your CRM (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot or Microsoft Dynamics), or says "Your CRM" when it cannot tell which. Reconnect it, then open the export again.
  • The CRM name "isn't connected. Connect it in Integrations, then try again." GTM One could not find a connection for that CRM when it loaded the field mappings. Connect the CRM, then open the export again.
  • "A connected service took too long to respond. Try again in a minute." One of the services the export screen depends on did not answer in about 10 seconds. Wait a minute and open the export again.
  • "A connected service rejected the request. Try again, or contact support with reference" a reference. A service the export screen depends on refused the request. Try again, and if the message returns, contact ZoomInfo Support and give them the reference.
  • "A connected service couldn't complete the request. Try again in a minute (reference" a reference ")." A service the export screen depends on failed. Wait a minute and try again. If it repeats, contact ZoomInfo Support with the reference.
