Overview
When a user exports a company or contact from GTM One, each ZoomInfo field is written to a CRM field. The field mapping decides which CRM field receives which ZoomInfo field. Your organization has one mapping for each connected CRM, and it applies to every user who exports to that CRM.
Each row in the mapping pairs a ZoomInfo field with a CRM field and sets how an existing value is treated:
- Complete if missing: The CRM value is filled only when the CRM field is blank.
- Overwrite field: The CRM value is replaced with the ZoomInfo value.
The mapping is kept for each record type the CRM has, such as account, lead and contact.
Before you start
- Sign in to the Admin Portal as an admin.
- Connect and allow the CRM first.
How to change the mapping for a CRM
- Sign in to the Admin Portal.
- Open the Integrations area and select the CRM.
- Open the field mapping for the record type you want to change.
- For each ZoomInfo field, select the CRM field that should receive it.
- For each row, choose Complete if missing or Overwrite field.
- Save your changes.
The new mapping applies to exports that start after you save it.
What the default mapping is
The first time an admin approves a CRM, GTM One fills in a default mapping for the CRM's main record types (account, lead, contact, company, prospect and person, where the CRM has them). A record type you have already mapped is kept as it is. You can change any row of the default afterward.
What users see
- The mapping decides which fields the export writes. Users do not choose fields when they export.
- Phone and email values from third-party data can be mapped to a CRM field. Your organization's third-party data setting controls whether that data is included.
- A CRM that has no mapping saved cannot be used for export. The user sees "Field mapping not found for this platform", and an admin needs to save a mapping for the CRM.
