Learn how to fix a microphone, audio device or phone number problem that stops the AI Dialer from placing calls.
Overview
Before the AI Dialer can place a call it needs two things: a phone number assigned to you and a microphone it is allowed to use. When either is missing, the call does not start and a notification explains why. A phone number is chosen on the Dialer page in Settings or in the Select a Phone Number window that opens on your first call.
Fix a microphone problem
- Open your browser's site settings for GTM One and set the microphone to Allow. In the Chrome extension, allow microphone access in Chrome.
- Check that your microphone is plugged in and is not in use by another app that blocks it.
- Reload GTM One.
- Open Settings, click Dialer, and confirm the microphone and speaker you want are selected. See How to choose your microphone and speaker for calls.
- Click the call button again.
Fix a phone number problem
- Open Settings and click Dialer.
- In the My Phone Number card, check whether a number is shown. If not, click Select Phone Number.
- In the Select a Phone Number window, choose an area code, choose a number, and click Done. If the area code or the number is refused, choose a different one.
- Reload GTM One and place the call again.
See How to choose your dialer phone number for the full steps. Sound and voicemail settings stay unavailable until you have a number.
Fix an audio device problem
- Reconnect the headset or microphone you selected.
- Open Settings, click Dialer, and choose the microphone and speaker again.
- Reload GTM One and call again.

- "No phone number found for user. Error retrieving Twilio Token. Please provision a phone number and try again." You have no dialer phone number. Choose one on the Dialer page in Settings.

- "Error auto-provisioning phone number and starting phone call. Please reload and try again." A number could not be assigned automatically when you started a call. Choose a number yourself in Settings, then call again.
- "Error getting Twilio Token. Please reload and try again." The dialer could not get permission to place calls for your number. Reload and try again.
- "Error Twilio Token. Please reload and try again." The same problem with no further detail. Reload and try again, and contact ZoomInfo support if it repeats.
