Overview

Talking points give you key insights about the contact and their company so you can prepare for a call. They appear in the AI Dialer as AI Talking Points, written as the dialer prepares the call. A talking point can have a one-line summary and a detail line beneath it.

The Talking Points card on the Dialer Settings page is available when your organization has it turned on. If you do not see it, ask your ZoomInfo admin. Talking points also need the company's data to be available for the contact you are calling. When it is not, the panel stays hidden for that call.

Turn talking points on and choose when they appear

  1. Click Settings in the profile menu at the bottom of the sidebar, then click Dialer.
  2. In the Talking Points card, turn on the Enable Talking Points toggle.
  3. Open the Choose when Talking Points should appear dropdown and choose one of Before and during a call, Before a call, During a call or Never.

Each change saves as you make it. A message confirms "Updated Talking Points settings successfully". The dropdown is unavailable while the toggle is off. Before and during a call is the default.

To see talking points on a call, see How to place a call with the AI Dialer.

If you see an error

  • "Talking Points settings have not been updated" The change did not save. Change the setting again. If it keeps happening, contact ZoomInfo support.
