Learn how to accept or decline a call that comes in to your dialer number.
Learn how to accept or decline a call that comes in to your dialer number.
Overview
When someone calls the phone number you chose for the AI Dialer, an incoming call card appears. It shows the caller's name, or the number they dialed when ZoomInfo cannot find a match. While ZoomInfo looks for the caller it shows "Looking for matching contacts…". When it finds a match, it adds the contact's title and company. When there is no match it shows "No matching contact found".
Answer or decline a call
- Look at the incoming call card that appears on the page.
- Click the green phone button (Accept call) to answer. The dialer panel opens and the call connects.
- Click the red phone button (Decline call) to refuse the call. You can also click the close button on the card, which declines the call.
After you accept, the call works like any other call. You can mute, use the keypad, and end the call. If your organization allows recording, the call is recorded from the moment it connects. See How to record a call and handle consent in the AI Dialer. When the call ends, log it as described in How to log a call in the AI Dialer.
Your dialer number is the one you chose in Settings. See How to choose your dialer phone number.
