Overview
When your organization has the newer Advanced Search turned on, the row of tabs above the results lists the kinds of records you can search. The first tabs are fixed and always show. The rest wait in the Add tab menu until you add them. The tabs you add are saved to your own settings, so they follow you to any browser or device you sign in on.
Add a Tab
- In the left navigation panel, click Advanced Search.
- Click Add tab at the right end of the tab row.
- In the Add a tab menu, select the tab you want.
The tab appears at the end of the row and opens right away. The Add tab button disappears once every available tab is showing.
Remove a Tab
- Find the tab you want to remove in the tab row. Only tabs you added have a close icon.
- Click the close icon on the tab, or move to the tab with the keyboard and press Delete or Backspace.
If you remove the tab you are on, Advanced Search opens the first tab in the row instead. A removed tab goes back into the Add tab menu, so you can add it again later. Fixed tabs have no close icon and cannot be removed.
Open a Tab from a Link
If someone sends you a link to a tab that is in the Add tab menu, the tab opens and is added to your row automatically.
If you see an error
- "Tabs couldn't load." The list of tabs could not be loaded, so the row cannot be drawn. Click Try again, or refresh the page.
- "Your tabs couldn't be saved." The change you made showed on screen but could not be saved. Click Retry in the message. If you do not, the row goes back to the last order that was saved.
- "Your saved tabs couldn't be loaded. Tab changes won't be saved." Your saved row could not be read, so GTM One shows the default tabs and does not save changes in this visit. Click Retry in the message to load your saved tabs.
