Overview

Slack AI can call ZoomInfo tools directly inside your workspace, so your team can research companies, find contacts, and pull go-to-market intelligence without leaving Slack. Setup has two parts: install the ZoomInfo app from your ZoomInfo integration settings, then connect ZoomInfo MCP from Slackbot. Authentication is OAuth with your normal ZoomInfo credentials.

This integration runs on Slack AI, so it depends on your Slack plan and Slack AI access, along with your ZoomInfo subscription, permissions, and enabled MCP tools.

Requirements

  • A ZoomInfo subscription. Any SalesOS or Copilot plan works.
  • Slack AI access on your plan. The MCP integration runs inside Slack AI.
  • App-approval access. The ZoomInfo Slack app installs during setup. If your workspace requires admin approval for third-party apps, a Slack admin approves it first. For a smoother run, an admin can temporarily lift that requirement.
  • Optional: connect your CRM and email in ZoomInfo first. The Account Research and Contact Research tools return sharper results when they can draw on your ingested data.

Setup

Install the ZoomInfo app for Slack

Open ZoomInfo integrations

Sign in to ZoomInfo, open the Sales application, then go to your Profile → Settings → Integrations.

Connect Slack

Find the Slack integration and click Connect.

Authorize and install

Review the requested OAuth permissions and click Allow. Slack then installs the ZoomInfo app in your workspace. Keep the MCP permission selected. That box is what lets Slack reach the ZoomInfo MCP tools, so unselect it only if you don't want MCP.

Confirm the connection

Return to ZoomInfo and check that the Slack integration shows Connected.

Enable ZoomInfo MCP in Slack

Open Manage Apps

In your Slack workspace, open Slackbot, click the Apps connector, and select Manage Apps.

Connect ZoomInfo MCP

Search for ZoomInfo MCP and select it. Slack redirects you to the ZoomInfo sign-in page to authenticate.

Choose tools and save

After signing in, select the MCP tools you want to use, grant the requested permissions, and click Save Changes.

Test the Connection

Ask Slackbot: "Show me the VPs of Sales at ZoomInfo." A healthy connection calls Search Contacts and returns a table of matching people with titles and accuracy scores.

Tool Behavior in Slack

Slack AI reads the ZoomInfo tool descriptions and picks the tool that fits your request. It runs within your ZoomInfo permissions and entitlements. Ask in plain language. Name ZoomInfo when you want to steer it. Useful prompts:

  • Research this company and summarize its business.
  • Find the decision-makers at an account.
  • Identify contacts by role, seniority, or department.
  • Pull company and contact insights for an account I'm working.

Troubleshooting

The ZoomInfo app never installs: your workspace may require admin approval for third-party apps. Ask a Slack admin to approve the ZoomInfo app, or have them temporarily lift the approval requirement, then rerun the connection.

ZoomInfo MCP is missing from Manage Apps, or no tools show up: confirm Slack AI is enabled on your plan. Check that you kept the MCP permission when you installed the ZoomInfo app. Reconnect from Slackbot → Manage Apps if you unselected it.

Authentication errors: sign in with your personal ZoomInfo credentials, not a shared or admin-only account.

Credit errors during enrichment: MCP requires bulk data credits. Confirm with your ZoomInfo admin that your account has them enabled. Recurring monthly credits are not supported by MCP.
