How to manage offerings in the AI Emailer

Learn how to pick the product or service an email sells, and how to create and edit offerings.

Overview

An offering describes something you sell: its name, the pain points it addresses and its value proposition. When you choose one, the AI Emailer rewrites the draft to position that offering for the recipient. There are two kinds:

• Your offerings: Private offerings you create, edit and delete.
• Public: Offerings shared with your organization. They are view only here and are edited in the Admin Portal. You can duplicate one to make your own copy.

The Personalize button is available when your organization has it turned on.

Choose an offering for an email

1. In the AI Emailer, click Personalize above the message box.
2. Click an offering. The button shows "Drafting…" while the emailer rewrites the email, and then reads Selling: followed by the offering's name.
3. To switch, open the button again and click another offering.

Create an offering

1. Click Personalize, then click Create new at the bottom of the menu.
2. In the Create offering window, fill in Offering name (up to 150 characters), Pain points (up to 500) and Value proposition (up to 500). All three are required.
3. To use it first in the menu, select Make default.
4. Click Create offering.

Edit, duplicate or delete an offering

1. Click Personalize, then click the edit or view button at the right of the offering's name.
2. To change one of your offerings, edit the fields in the Edit offering window and click Save.
3. To delete it, click Delete at the bottom left, then confirm in Delete offering?. The window warns that deleting an offering could disrupt your email personalization.
4. For a public offering, the View offering window says "Editable only in the Admin Portal". Click Duplicate and edit to open Duplicate & edit offering with a copy named like "Name (copy)", change it and save.

If you see an error

• "Offering name required", "Pain points required" or "Value proposition required" Fill in the field.
• "Offering name already exists" Choose a different name.
• "Offering name must be 150 characters or fewer", "Pain points must be 500 characters or fewer" or "Value proposition must be 500 characters or fewer" Shorten the text.
• "Cannot be only space characters" Add real text.
• "Something went wrong saving your offering. Please try again." or "Something went wrong deleting your offering. Please try again." Try again.
