Overview
WebSights shows the companies that visited the websites your account tracks. Use it to see which companies are researching you, how often they visit, which pages they view, and whether their visits are spiking. From there, you can open a company's profile, send companies to Advanced Search, save them as a list, or tag them.
The WebSights page has three main areas:
- A header with the number of records found and the Open Search and Save Search buttons.
- The Select Filters panel on the left.
- The results table on the right.
Before You Begin
WebSights reports on the verified domains set up for your account. If your account has no domains yet, the page shows "No WebSights domains configured" instead of filters and results. Contact your ZoomInfo admin to create and manage domains in WebSights.
Open WebSights and Filter Visitors
When WebSights opens, every verified domain on your account is selected and the results cover the past 24 hours, sorted by Last Visit with the newest first. Filters apply on their own a moment after you stop editing, so there is no apply button.
- In the left navigation panel, click WebSights.
- In the Select Filters panel, click Time and choose Past 24 Hours, Past Week, Past Month, Past 3 Months, or Custom Range....
- If you chose Custom Range..., select a start and end date (up to six months back and no later than today).
- Click Domain Name and select the tracked domains you want to include.
- Click the name of any other filter you want to use (e.g., Industry or Page Views) to open it.
- Enter or select the values for that filter.
- Review the updated results in the table.
Time and Domain Name start open. The other filters start closed, and clicking a filter's name opens or closes it. To find a filter quickly, type its name in the Search filters box at the top of the panel. If nothing matches, the panel shows "No filters match your search."
Filters in the Select Filters Panel
Company filters
- Company Name: Find and add specific companies.
- Industry: Filter by industry. This search includes primary and additional industries.
- Location: Filter by country, state, or city.
- Salesforce Account Owner, HubSpot Company Owner, and Dynamics Account Owner: Filter by CRM owner. Each has an Include or Exclude toggle. A CRM owner filter is unavailable when that CRM has no owners on your account.
Visit filters
- Page Rank: Select High, Medium, or Low.
- Webpage(s) URL: Choose Begins With, Contains, Ends With, Excludes, or Exactly Matches, then enter a page URL. Begins With and Exactly Matches need a value that starts with https:// or a forward slash (e.g., /pricing).
- Tracking Parameters: Choose GCLID, UTM Campaign, UTM Content, UTM Medium, UTM Source, or UTM Term, then enter a value.
- Unique Visits and Page Views: Enter a minimum, a maximum, or both. If the minimum is larger than the maximum, the search waits until you correct it.
- Spiking Companies: Select the Show only companies that spiked checkbox.
- Minimum Session Duration: Choose Minutes or Seconds, then enter the minimum value.
Manage Your Active Filters
Your selections appear as chips under each filter, and the chips stay visible when the filter is closed.
- To remove one value, click the x on its chip.
- To clear every value in one filter, click Clear beside its chips.
- To see all active filters in one list, click the active filter count at the top of the panel to open Active Filters.
- To reset the panel, click Clear All in the panel header. This clears every filter except your selected domains and time range.
Your filters are kept in the page address, so they come back when you reload the page or return from a company profile.
Read the Visitor Table
Each row is a company that visited your tracked websites. The table includes these columns:
- Last Visit: The date of the company's most recent visit.
- Domain Name: The tracked domain visited. This column appears only when more than one domain is selected.
- Company Name: The visiting company.
- CRM: Whether the company exists in your CRM.
- Unique Visits: The number of unique visits. A trending-up badge means visits spiked. Point to the number to see the spike dates.
- Page Views: The number of page views. Point to the number to see the breakdown by page rank.
- Avg. Session Duration: The average length of a visit.
- Location: The office location the visits came from.
- Primary Industry, Revenue, and Employees: Company details.
To sort the results, click the Last Visit, Unique Visits, Page Views, Avg. Session Duration, Revenue, or Employees column header. Changing a filter returns the table to Last Visit, newest first, and clears any selected rows.
When nothing matches, the table shows "No companies visited your website in this timeframe." Try a longer time range or remove some filters.
Open a Company Profile from a Row
- In the results table, click a company name.
- Review the company's profile in the panel that opens beside the table.
- Click the up or down arrow in the panel to move to the previous or next company in the table.
To open the profile in a new browser tab instead, hold Command (Mac) or Ctrl (Windows) while you click the company name. For more about profiles, see Overview of Company Profiles in GTM One.
View Office Locations
Point to a company's location to see its nearest office locations and the number of visits from each.
- In the Location column, click the company's location.
- Review the offices listed in the Office Locations dialog. Every location is selected when the dialog opens.
- Clear the checkbox beside any location you want to leave out.
- Click Open in Search at the bottom of the dialog to open Advanced Search for this company, filtered to the selected locations.
To search a single location instead, click that location's name in the list.
Act on Selected Companies
- Select the checkbox beside each company you want, or click Select Companies above the table and choose Select All.
- In the bar above the table, click Open in Search, Export, or Tag Companies.
Each action works on the companies you selected:
- Open in Search sends the selected companies to Advanced Search. It is unavailable when nothing is selected, when more than 1,000 companies are selected, or when Select All covers more results than are loaded. Point to the button to see the reason.
- Export saves the selected companies as a list.
- Tag Companies adds tags to the selected companies or removes them.
To drop your selection, click the selection menu above the table and choose Clear All.
Export Companies
- Select one or more companies in the results table.
- In the bar above the table, click Export.
- In Export Companies, enter a name under Name Your List.
- Optionally, enter a description.
- Under Selected Results, choose the option for your selected companies or the All Results option.
- Click Export.
- Click Done.
You receive an email when the list is ready, and you can then export it as a CSV from the Lists page. If your search finds more than 200,000 results, the all results option shows as Maximum Allowed and exports the first 200,000.
Open and Save Searches
To keep the current filters, click Save Search in the header. You can save them as a new search or replace the filters of an existing saved search. For the full steps, see How to Save a WebSights Search in GTM One.
To reuse a search:
- In the header, click Open Search.
- Choose a search from Top Saved Searches or Recent Searches.
The menu shows up to five searches in each section. Choosing one applies its filters on the current page. To see every search, click View All Searches.
Load, Search, and Refresh Results
- To narrow the rows already loaded, type in the Search companies in this view... box above the table. The counts, Select All, and Show More still cover the full set of results.
- To load the next page of results, click Show More at the bottom of the table. The footer shows how many results the search found.
- To reload the results from the first page, click Refresh.
