Overview
GTM One, the ZoomInfo MCP server and the GTM CLI read the same data: ZoomInfo's companies and contacts, your audiences, and your organization's GTM context. Reading the same data does not mean each one can take the same actions. An AI assistant connected through the MCP server can do only what the server's tools offer, so some tasks still need the GTM One app.
Choose where to do a task
- Find the task in the lists below.
- If it is listed under the MCP server, ask your AI assistant to do it; otherwise, do it in GTM One.
- If your assistant says it has no tool for the task, do it in GTM One.
Through the ZoomInfo MCP server
An assistant connected through the MCP server can:
- Search and look up companies and contacts, find similar companies and contacts, and find recommended contacts.
- Enrich companies and contacts, and get intent, news, scoops and company signals. Enriching uses data credits.
- Browse your audiences and read one, create an audience, and add its columns and rows. Loading records uses data credits.
- Analyze an audience, research an account or a contact, and analyze your conversations. These use AI credits.
- Browse your engagements.
- Read your organization's GTM context, and, for an admin, update it. Updating it uses AI credits.
The MCP server has no tools for the rest of GTM One. Building, editing or approving an agent team, building or sharing an app, sharing an audience or routing it to sellers, connecting a CRM and changing your organization's settings are done in the GTM One app.
Through the GTM CLI
The GTM CLI searches and enriches companies and contacts from a terminal or a script, using the same credits as the app.
In GTM One
Everything in this knowledge base is done in the GTM One app, including the tasks above. Chat in GTM One draws on the same data as the MCP server.
