Zero History, First Call Ready
Takes a deal you just inherited with zero relationship history, maps the buying committee you don't know, names real people to fill the gaps it finds, and gets you credible on the one contact you already have a call booked with - before you dial.
The play
One continuous workflow, from an inherited account with no history to a mapped committee, named gap-fill contacts, and a credible open before your first call.
Diagnose the committee
Maps every stakeholder ZoomInfo has on record at the account, classifies role and engagement state, and confirms or rules out the specific blind spot you flagged going in.
Close the named gaps
Turns the committee map's gaps into real, ranked candidates - specific people with titles, verified contact details, and a reason to prioritize each one.
Get credible before you dial
Pulls everything on record for the contact you already have a call with, falling back to a relationship recap of recent conversations when a direct lookup comes up empty.
Test this workflow
(Use the ZoomInfo MCP tools if available; otherwise use the GTM CLI. Use the tool schema or CLI help for supported commands.) I just connected ZoomInfo. Help me complete the job below. 1. Read my saved business context with get_gtm_context, or the CLI equivalent. This read is free. Use the returned offerings, ICP, and role to frame the work. If context is missing, continue with the information we have. Save changes only if I explicitly ask; a first briefing does not require updating shared business context. 2. Run the "Zero History, First Call Ready" workflow example I selected in the marketplace - a chained sequence of 3 steps. First, and before doing anything else, ask me for the essential input this workflow needs, in a single message (e.g. the account we just closed, and what we sell) - do not start any research, tool call, or skill below until I've answered. If I don't have a specific account handy, suggest I try a placeholder like "Acme Corp" to see how it works, then invite me to rerun with a real one to make it mine. Only once I've given you that input, run these steps in order, passing each one's output into the next: 1. **Buying Committee** - Map the committee you don't know 2. **Recommend Contacts** - Turn the confirmed gap into named people 3. **Enrich Contact + Contact Relationship Recap** - Walk into the call already credible Preserve this job instead of offering a new task menu. Close with a compact, copy-ready summary of the concrete result - the account and contact, and the final artifact itself (a draft, a briefing, a shortlist) in its own block, not a narrative recap - so it can be pasted directly into a CRM task, email, or message. 3. Before calling a tool, check its schema or documented inputs rather than guessing at parameters. Ask only for missing inputs, in a single message, then name the tools and give a credit estimate if supported by their documentation. Label it as an estimate: actual charges depend on records and work done. Ask for approval once before paid research, then complete the selected job. If a tool call comes back "No approval received" or a similar permission response, say so plainly, name the tool, and continue with the remaining steps. Don't retry the same call hoping for a different result, and don't invent an approval that didn't happen. Include a source-coverage note of no more than 3 lines. Separate an unavailable or unauthorized source from a successful search with no matching records. If connection status is unknown, say so. Never infer "no customer history" from an empty result. Continue with available evidence and identify what is missing; use https://gtm.ai/guides/connect-customer-context for source setup. Recommend CRM changes as drafts. Applying them requires an available, separately connected CRM workflow and my authorization. Do not claim a CRM update was made by ZoomInfo research tools.
Opens with sample data first - swap in the account you actually inherited to make it yours.
Answer a few questions about the account you inherited, how you want gaps filled, and who you're prepping to call, to get a tailored setup brief.
How this workflow works
Each step maps to a job to be done in our GTM taxonomy and a real, runnable skill. Expand a step for details.
1Map the committee you don't knowBuilds the stakeholder map from scratch on an account you have no relationship history with, instead of guessing from a CRM contact list.
Runs the inherited account through ZoomInfo's buying-committee model, classifying every stakeholder on record by role and engagement state, flagging stale or low-confidence records rather than surfacing them as fact, and directly testing the blind spot you named going in.
Outcome
Corvid Systems' committee comes back with a confirmed champion (Renata Cho, evidence-based off a recurring biweekly sync - not just her title), a dormant economic buyer flagged rather than dropped (Marcus Webb, CFO, no activity on record), one CRM contact excluded as unverifiable (a "VP, Security" record whose email domain doesn't match the account), and your named hypothesis confirmed: no verified security contact exists on this committee today.
Ways to customize
- Point it at a different named risk — Swap the blind spot for whatever gap actually worries you going in - legal sign-off, a second business unit, budget ownership - and the map tests that instead.

2Turn the confirmed gap into named peopleTakes the committee map's one confirmed gap and returns real candidates for it, not a generic contact search.
Feeds the missing-security-contact gap into Recommend Contacts in Renewal & Growth mode, which ranks candidates using CRM-informed patterns rather than a flat title search, and returns each with verified contact details and a reason to prioritize it.
Outcome
Two named, ranked candidates come back: Priyanka Deol, VP Information Security, and Owen Farrell, Director of Procurement - each with a verified email, an accuracy score, and an engagement-priority reason (Deol as the direct security-sign-off gap-fill, Farrell as the procurement path this renewal will need regardless).
Ways to customize
- Switch to Deal Acceleration mode — Renewal & Growth mode fits a renewal like this one. If what you inherited is a net-new or expansion deal instead, Deal Acceleration is the mode built for finding additional stakeholders mid-opportunity - same skill, different mode for a different deal shape.

3Walk into the call already credibleGets you caught up on the one contact you already have a call booked with, before you're on the call.
Runs Enrich Contact on Renata Cho first, since she's the one relationship already in motion. When the direct lookup comes back empty (nothing new to enrich beyond what's already on file), it falls back to Contact Relationship Recap, which reads recent conversation history instead of a static profile.
Outcome
The recap shows Renata Cho as an actively engaged posture (not gone quiet), a recurring biweekly cadence already established, and an open email thread where she's already raised the renewal timeline - so the first call opens on her actual, current context instead of a cold introduction.

Why this workflow
Inheriting a deal is a different problem than starting one from scratch. The opportunity is already open, but you have none of the relationship context that got it there. This example starts from that exact gap. It seeds Buying Committee with the account you just picked up and the one blind spot that worries you most, rather than guessing at the org chart from a CRM contact list. Whatever gap the map confirms goes straight into Recommend Contacts, which returns named, ranked candidates instead of a flat title search.
The last step is deliberately about the one relationship already in motion: the contact you already have a call booked with. It uses Enrich Contact first, and falls back to Contact Relationship Recap when there's nothing new to enrich. Either way, you walk in knowing where things actually stand instead of opening cold.
All three steps live under one solution, Buyer Discovery. Unlike some of our other examples, this workflow doesn't span multiple solutions; it goes deep on one.
One real variation worth knowing about: this workflow depicts Recommend Contacts in its Renewal & Growth mode, because the account here is a renewal. A net-new or expansion opportunity calls for a different mode. The skill has a separate Deal Acceleration mode built specifically for finding additional stakeholders mid-opportunity, matched against your own closed-won contact patterns. Same skill, same step, just the right mode for a different deal shape.
Try variations once you've made it yours. Point the committee map at a different named risk (legal sign-off, a second business unit, budget ownership) instead of a missing contact. Or run it on every account you inherit in a given quarter, to build a repeatable "cold handoff" checklist instead of reacting to each one individually.
