Your agent can combine ZoomInfo intelligence with the customer history your organization has connected. Start with one account you know: a current opportunity, a renewal, or an upcoming meeting.

## Connect your agent

[Choose your agent or terminal](/start-building) and sign in with your own ZoomInfo login. New builders can start with 1,000 data credits and 1,000 AI credits, issued once at signup. Existing ZoomInfo subscribers use their organization's credit allocations. See [pricing](/pricing) and [MCP requirements](/docs/mcp/getting-started).

Your login determines which customer records and conversations you can access. Connecting an AI client gives it access to available ZoomInfo tools; your organization also needs to connect the customer sources those tools read.

## Connect the customer sources

Start with your ZoomInfo admin. Ask them to confirm the sources below and enable any missing connections using your organization's approved process. Source setup depends on the provider and your subscription.

| Source | What it adds | Where the agent uses it |
| --- | --- | --- |
| CRM | Account history, open opportunities, stage, and status | [Account Research](/docs/mcp/tools/account-research) |
| Calendar and synced email | Meetings, participants, and email history | [Browse Engagements](/docs/mcp/tools/browse-engagements) |
| Google Meet, Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Gong, or ZoomInfo Chorus | Captured conversations, requirements, objections, and commitments | [Conversation Intelligence](/docs/mcp/tools/conversation-intelligence) |
| Business context | Your offerings, personas, ICPs, and competitors | [GTM Context](/docs/mcp/tools/gtm-context) |

CRM and conversation connections apply at the ZoomInfo tenant level. Results respect each user's access permissions. Recent conversations can take time to index.

An admin can add product briefs or battlecards through [Update GTM Context](/docs/mcp/tools/update-gtm-context). You can run a briefing with the context already available; updating shared business context is optional.

## Run one connected briefing

Paste the starter prompt into your connected agent. It asks which account to brief, reads available business context, and proposes the research before using paid credits.

Look for a changed decision. The briefing should connect the deal record, what the customer said, and an external change to a next action backed by dated evidence. Compare it with a recent conversation or opportunity you can access.

## If a source is missing

An empty result does not establish that the account has no customer history. Check the source and access first.

| What you see | Next step |
| --- | --- |
| ZoomInfo intelligence, but no CRM or conversation evidence | Ask your admin which customer sources are connected and whether your login can access this account. |
| Meetings appear, but a recent conversation cannot be analyzed | Confirm that the recording or email was captured, is accessible to you, and has finished indexing. |
| The source works, but there are no matching records | Confirm the company match and date range. Keep the result scoped to the search you actually ran. |
| The tool does not explain why a source is missing | Mark source status as unknown and continue with the evidence available. |

A recommended CRM change is a draft until your CRM workflow applies it. Writing to CRM requires a separately connected workflow with permission to make that change; ZoomInfo's research tools return the context for the decision.
