## What it does

Searches ZoomInfo's database of 100M+ companies using firmographic filters. Returns a ranked list with basic company data: name, domain, industry, employee count, location, and a ZoomInfo company ID.

Search is typically the first step before enrichment. Use the returned company IDs with [Enrich Companies](/docs/mcp/tools/enrich-companies) to retrieve full detail.
