## What is ZoomInfo MCP?

ZoomInfo MCP lets an AI assistant such as Claude, ChatGPT, or Copilot call ZoomInfo directly. Ask it to research an account and it answers with ZoomInfo company, contact, and signal data, plus your CRM and call history if your organization has connected them.

It works through the Model Context Protocol (MCP), an open standard for connecting AI apps to outside tools. Any app that supports MCP can connect to the same ZoomInfo server.

Try a prompt like this once you're connected:

> *"Brief me on Uber before my call tomorrow: recent news, who's hiring, and who in their finance org I should talk to."*

Your assistant picks the ZoomInfo tools it needs, for example [Account Research](/docs/mcp/tools/account-research) and [Search Contacts](/docs/mcp/tools/search-contacts), and returns a briefing with verified contacts, recent signals, and a suggested next step. [Conversation Intelligence](/docs/mcp/tools/conversation-intelligence) users also get what was discussed on your team's last call with that account.

## Who is this for?

**Revenue professionals** (AEs, SDRs, account managers, RevOps, marketing ops, and product marketing) who use AI tools for account research, prospecting, competitive intelligence, outreach, and enrichment.

**Engineering teams** building GTM applications that need verified B2B data behind their AI's answers.

## Requirements

You need one of these:

- **A free ZoomInfo account.** [Sign up](/start-building) and get 1,000 data credits and 1,000 AI credits. No credit card is required.
- **An existing ZoomInfo subscription** (Sales, Copilot, Studio, or ZI Lite) with data credits available. Some older subscriptions only carry recurring monthly credits, which MCP can't use; see [Which credits MCP uses](/docs/mcp/credits#which-credits-mcp-uses).

You also need an MCP-compatible AI app or your own MCP client; see [Clients](/docs/mcp/clients). Each person signs in with their own ZoomInfo login. That way results reflect their accounts and permissions. Teams that need a shared service account can use app-level authentication instead, covered in [User sign-in vs. service account](/guides/oauth-vs-client-credentials-zoominfo-mcp).

> **New tools are added automatically**
>
> When ZoomInfo publishes new MCP tools, they become available at the start of your next session. No configuration required.
