## Start here

Connect your AI client to ZoomInfo and run your first account query.

1. **Pick your client.** Claude or ChatGPT for the fastest path (no code, marketplace install). Claude Code, Codex, or your own integration if you want a custom MCP app.
2. **Run the install command.** Each client has a one-step setup in its dedicated guide below.
3. **Authenticate.** Sign in with your ZoomInfo account when the OAuth prompt opens.
4. **Verify.** Start a new session and ask: *"What ZoomInfo tools do you have?"* The model will list every connected tool.
5. **Go.** Paste the prompt below into your connected AI client to run your first GTM session.

  - [Claude](/docs/mcp/clients/claude): Marketplace install. Any subscription.

  - [ChatGPT](/docs/mcp/clients/chatgpt): Marketplace install. Any subscription.

  - [Claude Code](/guides/how-to-connect-to-zoominfo-mcp-in-claude-code): Plugin install: skills + MCP, one command.

  - [Custom Connector](/docs/mcp/clients/custom): Add ZoomInfo to any app that supports a custom MCP server.

## Why GTM.AI

A company record tells you who the account is. Buying signals and conversations help explain what changed and what needs to happen next. The context graph connects that information around company and contact identities, including corporate relationships and current employment.

The GTM AI Context Engine resolves company identities, corporate relationships, employment, and activities. Context Agents use those connections to understand accounts and conversations. CRM stage and status are normalized and mapped from Conversation Intelligence. Start with [Account Research](/docs/mcp/tools/account-research), or ask [Conversation Intelligence](/docs/mcp/tools/conversation-intelligence) about a specific discussion.

The [Signals agent](/docs/mcp/tools/enrich-company-signals) returns buying intent, news, and business events in date order, so your agent can use recent changes to plan its next action.

Business Context gives agents your offerings, personas, ICPs, and competitors through [GTM Context](/docs/mcp/tools/gtm-context) and its admin-only [update tool](/docs/mcp/tools/update-gtm-context). [Web Research in GTM Studio](/guides/gtm-studio-audiences-api#formula-and-ai-columns) adds current web information through AI columns.

CRM and conversation context require sources connected to your ZoomInfo tenant. Results are limited by your access permissions.

These docs cover the integration layer that brings it into your workflow: the ZoomInfo MCP server, the tools available through it, how credits are consumed, and how to connect and configure any MCP-compatible client.
