Learn which filters Advanced Search offers and how to apply them.

## Overview

Advanced Search narrows ZoomInfo contacts, companies, and scoops with filters. The **Filters** panel on the left side of the page holds every filter, grouped into categories. Results refresh as soon as you set or change a filter, so there is no separate search button.

The panel has two views:

- **Filters**: The default view. It shows the Quick Filters section and the filters pinned to your panel.
- **All Filters**: Opens when you click **Show All Filters**. It lists every category in a column on the left so you can jump to any filter.

You can also type a filter name or value into the **Search filters or values** box at the top of the panel and pick a suggestion.

### CRM and Marketing Systems

The Salesforce, HubSpot, Dynamics, and Marketo categories appear in the **All Filters** view only when your organization has connected that system. They include filters such as account, contact, and opportunity owners, opportunity or deal stages, lead status, and custom fields.

Some filters, such as Buying Groups, Intent, and G2 Buyer Intent, appear only if your account includes them. If you expect to see a filter and it is missing, contact your ZoomInfo admin.

## Intent in Advanced Search

Intent is part of Advanced Search rather than a separate tab, so you can prospect with intent without leaving your search.

- **As a filter**: Open the Intent filter in the Sales Signals category to search by Topic Clusters, Intent Score, Intent Lookback Period, and more.
- **As a quick filter**: The **High Intent** quick filter shows companies actively researching your organization's default topic cluster. If you use it from the Contacts or Scoops tab, Advanced Search switches to the Companies tab to show the results.
- **As columns**: Company results include an Intent column. When you filter by topic or topic cluster, an Intent Topics column also appears, so you can see which topics each company is researching.

## Quick Filters

The Quick Filters section sits at the top of the **Filters** panel, and it is available on the landing page before you apply any other filter. If your organization uses the newer version of Advanced Search, the section is not shown. Each chip applies a common filter with one click. The chip labels change slightly depending on the tab you are on:

- **Followed companies**: My Followed Companies (Companies tab), In my Followed Companies (Contacts tab), or From my Followed Companies (Scoops tab). Limits results to the companies you follow.
- **Not in CRM**: Shows contacts that don't exist in Salesforce (**Not in my CRM** on the Contacts tab). On the Companies and Scoops tabs the chip is **With Contacts not in my CRM**: it looks at whether a company's contacts are in Salesforce, not whether the company itself is.
- **High Intent**: Shows companies actively researching your default topic cluster. It is unavailable when your organization has no intent topic clusters set up.
- **Buying Group**: Shows key decision makers you can engage with. This chip appears only if your account includes Buying Groups.
- **Likely to Engage**: Shows contacts likely to answer calls or reply to emails.

## Use Uploaded Lists as Filters

Lists you upload can be used as filters:

- **Company Lists** (Companies category): Select a saved company list, or select the My Followed Companies checkbox.
- **Contact Lists** (Contacts category): Select a saved contact list.

You can use one list at a time. Selecting a company list clears any contact list you selected, and the reverse is also true. To upload a new list, use the **Upload lists** link under either filter. For details on uploading, see [How to Use ListMatch in GTM One](/docs/gtm-one/advanced-search/upload-a-list-to-advanced-search).
